On the way to Bryson city we stopped at this McD's. I am not a proponent of face masks. However, if you wear one, wear it properly! The cashier had her mask half on and half off. Service was atypical for McD"s; not all that good.

Fast food restaurants sometimes leave me feeling sad. That’s how this one left me when I stopped in for a coffee and to use the WiFi to transmit some writing projects. The clerk at the counter named Cynthia didn’t seem to want to be there. She paced back and forth with a disappointed look on her face for the two hours I sat in the dining room working and sipping my coffee. She left when I did and immediately lit a cigarette and blazed out the parking lot. And a manager of some kind sat in the corner the whole time interviewing people loudly, laughing with other employees who were on breaks, I guess. She didn’t seem to be taking the interview process seriously, which would explain the staff at the restaurant. As usual at McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants, there are a whole lot of workers with seemingly very little work being done. Maybe it’s the basement-level pay. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with the place per se, but I left quite sad.

I found the service here to be good and quick and our food order was accurate. Store was clean and we had no issues.

Traveling to Tennessee, stopped at 0830, for breakfast. Opened the door, and smelled cleaning supplies. Clean, clean, clean. Bathrooms, also. Quickly, got some egg mcmuffins & tea and were on our way. My companion that day is in the healthcare industry and she was REALLY impressed.

We often stop at McDonald's while traveling, especially with a grandchild along. Service was prompt and food fine, however, the women's rest room floor was slippery, the area in front of drinks was wet and the napkin dispenser empty. There was no napkin in the happy meal. Fortunately we keep extra napkins in the glove box. There were staff members free in the restaurant. Perhaps they worked on these deficiencies after we left.
