Good was amazing and the service outstanding.
Such delicious food! The steak melts in your mouth. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Prices are low and the quality is high. Great service as well! Glad we found this place!
Brent and his staff opened the Palms, prepared, served, our family and friends a delicious meal for our Mother’s funeral luncheon. I can not thank them enough for catering this meal and knowing I could depend on them for great food and service. Thanks again. I appreciated all your staff did for my family that day. Jacqueline!
The last time I was at "The Palms" was 55 years ago with my parents. The food and atmosphere Excellent. Fond Memories of Decades Past, Thrilled This Iconic Restaurant Has Maintained High Standards & Par Excellence In Menu & Service.
Great food and amazing staff
I brought my family here (2 adults and 2 four year olds) for a weeknight dinner. We waited an hour and 25 minutes to even get salads and then an additional 15 minutes for a soup. Once our food came out I could not eat my soup due to being so salty, my partner and I did not eat our food, and my daughters ham on her ham and cheese was cold. My chicken was dry and hard, sausage did not have any flavor, and tasted chill. Almost 2 hours (got there at 5:55pm and leaving now at 7:51pm) and $46 later leaving extremely unhappy. I try to support small and this is one visit that will never get my business again
We waited about 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink. My boyfriend got a Pabst 3 months out of date. He asked for a Busch when it was replaced- let me remind you this is iowa the capital of Busch beer and they didn't have any. He settled for a budweissr and was in a way taunted asking about the date and if it was any good... and then came our food. Another insult to iowa our ranch was runny wouldn't stay on our food. We asked for boxes and left. 0/5 stars if it was an option.
There was a price discrepancy but it was promptly taken care of. The prime rib was excellent as well as the rest of the food. service was also amazing. Definitely recommend!
Attended a birthday dinner for a friend and our waitress went above and beyond with decorating and providing service to an excited large group of ladies! Samantha Morris was so on point with the whole evening, she's easily the best waitress I have ever encountered! A true asset to your restaurant, she was attentive and so friendly all evening. she really made it for the group!
First time there it was really great food. Staff supper nice.

Had ribs and a sampler, pretty good food.
Our service was excellent our waitress Anessa was on her “A game” she was very alert and served us quickly. Our food was decently portioned and we all left happy and full. Will definitely be going back!
Was great food and plenty of it. Pricey bit worth it
I used to stop here all the time while traveling from Saint Louis up the river to La Crosse on business while calling on every smokestack along the way. Anyway, I am now retired and my last stop was five or so years ago. The food then was good and I always sat at the bar. Locals, consisting of men dining alone, and of course traveling business folks dining solitary were my dining companions. My trips were always during the week, so the place to me, was more of a Supper Club on the weekends and scaled down salad bar during the week. The place reminded me of a Supper Club right out of Madmen. It was something you would never find in anyplace other than in "the land time forgot".I would like to get back someday. I hope the food is still good as ever.
The ribs were the bomb and I'd highly recommend but the steaks were way too rare. The 20 oz. Ribeye was great but it was too bloody to finish. I would recommend the ribeye but gotta be cooked right. The fillets We ordered were not great at all. We ordered them medium and they were dripping blood and had to be thrown back on the grill and when we got them back and able to try them they were not great and definitely not worth $34 each. Not sure why but they looked identical to the 7 oz sirloin that was only $10. The fried platter appetizer was amazing. The restaurant is nice, the bathrooms are nice. The outside is a little run down. Service was great but I think the waitress was new and not sure about the menu items. been here a few times and would come back but the $34 fillet wasn't worth it at all this time. I'm being nice with the 4 stars because we have had nothing but great food in the past. we dined at 5 PM on 10-17-20 restaurant was empty....covid is possibly to blame?
