Honestly, going to this coffee shop changed my life, for the better. I was lost & then found in Swed & Co. The overall atmosphere would be generally described as “Gucci mane.” The workers=wow. The food, exquisite, it’ll remind you of your beloved babysitter’s lunch time. The music played will have you on the edge of your seat. The flavors bring a splendor to your life you’d never imagine.

My hubby and I visited Swed & Co today and we were very impressed with what they're trying to do here! Fort Madison is a charming but old town with lots of character but many businesses have a hard time staying alive.They bring a modern and big city feel with a small town community vibe. The staff there are super friendly and helpful and the food and coffee are on point! I got the Chicken Sal Sando and a flat white with their house made caramel syrup, and my hubby got the open face hummus toast. Everything was delicious and I definitely plan on coming back! They also have a little shop in the back with cute boutique items like jewelry, stationary, magnets, candles, and stickers. 5/5!

Decent coffee, amazing food! In my opinion this place gave me a early 00’s vibe which I totally loved when sitting down and writing my essay. I had the avocado toast with a hard boiled egg which was great along with a vanilla iced coffee. The staff was friendly and nice. I’ll be coming here more often when I’m in town again! Thanks for a experience!Kid-friendliness: I noticed there are color books along with crayons on top of bins for children to do when waiting for their food.
Such a cozy and inviting spot! I usually go for the veggie wrap which is so good and all of the coffee drinks are great! Love all the plants and the staff could not be friendlier! Great addition to Fort Madison and SE Iowa!
