We walked in with Jake and Hulk the rottweiler while we visited in town. Jake got us an apple pie shot that was delicious! Everyone knew Jake and Hulk. Said hi and petted Hulk. It was like cheers! Everyone knew each other and was really friendly! A very cool hole in the wall style local bar full of locals! Is defend walk hulk here again next time I visit.

If you love Iowa-style PORK TENDERLOIN SANDWICHES, you'll want to check their's out. The breading tastes correct, not like they used pepper-spiced fried chicken breading. Also, the oil is used primarily for tenderloins and fries so it doesn't have the undesirable subflavors imparted from onion rings or fish. And the food and beverages come at very reasonable prices!

best burgers in iowa - said it, meant it. friendly staff, cool patrons, sports on tv, good music, pool table, outside smoking area. what more can you really ask for? the best thing about this place is definitely the food in my opinion, but that's just me. it's laid back and i rarely see rowdy behavior there. "family friendly." people bring their kids there to eat sometimes. just a small town bar where blue collar iowans such as myself like to chill
