Uber eats messed up a delivery order causing it to take forever and never show. Called McAlister's to try to understand what was going on and Alex and the rest of staff went above and beyond making sure I got fresh warm food even though the issue was not at all their fault. I love McAlisters. It's my favorite chain resturant, and I've been to a good bit of them. Beyond the one I went to as a kid, this one is my favorite. The inside is clean, the staff is amazing, the food is pretty much just as good (the cheddar broccoli soup wasn't right, but I'm not sure why tho). One of the bathroom doors was funky and wouldn't fully close, but it's a new location so it's gonna have some kinks. Overall, this is the best McAlister's around (unless you're in Texarkana)!

I just wanted to say that this is the best McAlister’s in the Des Moines area + quick n go restaurant in Grimes. The manager and staff her are just amazing, professional, quick and kind. Food is always on point and we’ve never had a bad experience. Thanks for all you do! I hope that you continue the service and make sure to treat your employees good and pay well!

Phenomenal service. Servers were helpful while we ordered and checked to make sure everything was just right. Food was good. I especially liked the bread on my sandwich, but was also impressed with variety of menu items beyond sandwiches. I would definitely come back to this location or visit a different location if I saw that was an option while traveling.

I've always heard good things about the McAlister's deli chain restaurant, but this was my first time visiting. They have a large menu board to order from- soups, salads, sandwiches, and spuds. I got a grilled chicken caesar wrap which I thought tasted pretty good. They also have many choices for your sides. It was easy to order and wait shortly for your food to be brought back to your table. The staff was helpful and brought the Christmas spirit with the decorations. Plenty of tables and booths inside! Would definitely come back.

Never in my life have we EVER been treated so disrespectfully in any establishment.My husband went up to order dessert. While eye contact was made numerous times with him by employees congregating behind the registers, he asked for someone to help him. When someone finally came to help, the most inconsiderate trashiest female walked by him and said some snide comment about some not working the registers, he said that’s fine, but you don’t need to be so rude. She then said “your mouth is rude.”Interaction #2: my husband asked for the manager from a kid bussing the tables. After no one came to our table, he went up to the counter and asked to speak with a manager again. When the manager comes around the counter and they are speaking, said female came out around the counter and proceeded to verbally accost my husband. I got up from the table and told her to stop speaking to my husband that way or we were going to have a problem, her response “bless you for being married to him.” It was then that she was physically forced and pulled to the back kitchen because her mouth would not stop.The food wasn’t great. The customer service was the WORST service I have ever had in my life. That employee needs to not have a job, or perform minimal duties with duct tape over her mouth.This location needs to learn from the Douglas location. It’s the furthest from us, but we will ALWAYS travel to that location from this point forward.
