What a fun place! Right on the water of the Mississippi River, you order inside and then sit at beautiful antique wooden tables in a giant screened-in area. So fun to watch the boats on the water. The owner is the kindest person, and the food is just fun. Get something homemade if you can- we loved the chowder! This is a must-do if you’re in the area in season.

Cool shack over the river. Open air. Beautiful day. Binoculars everywhere for sightseeing. No nonsense canned beer. Nice guy at the counter. Very reasonable priced food. Very quick. Very delicious. Apple pie baked beans are a thing apparently and they were insane. Pasta salad with spaghetti was a cool change. Steak sandwich was awesome. And the cherry? Pickle was the best pickle I've ever had. Loved every bit of the experience.
