Love this gem on the Mississippi. We will be visiting again. Catfish was fresh from the morning catch!

such great atmosphere! And amazing and appreciated trust from the staff as they didn't mind me popping out to grab some cash (it's cash only btw!!!) while my food was prepped ???

Great experience! Really enjoyed the proprietor! Very welcoming and enjoyed the conversation. Great sense of humor. Good simple fresh food. Highly recommend visiting! We were fortunate that they were open. Closing soon for the season.

Unique, sassy fun stop and you cannot get closer to the river without getting wet. Mike, owner, is a hoot! The beef sausage and smoked sauerkraut were delicious. No, really! The three sides we sampled were also fabulous 'Olive You More' antipasto is packed with interesting and diverse ingredients in an Italian style marinade/dressing. Green olives, black olives, cauliflower, cheese chucks, Pearl onions and more. 'Apple Pie Beans' are scrumptious. A variety of beans in an excellent sauce with a bit of a kick. Apples are soft and perfect. 'Sweet Potato Salad' is delish. Don't let the stairs or appearance fool you into not stopping and dining. Or stop for a cold beer and river views. Thanks Mike! Thanks Randy! We had a blast! And Olive YOU More Mike!

Love the classic ambiance. Old mismatch chairs, amazing view, binoculars at all tables. Looking for healthy fare? We got the cold smoked fish plate. We also got deep fried fish that was literally caught and cut within moments of deep frying. Definitely a destination. Find it love it.

Atmosphere great. Food was not. Mussels were tiny and more effort than they were worth, broiled grouper was cooked to the point of being as tough as swordfish (and was fishy despite the menu suggesting fresh delivery daily). I will go back but stick to drinks and try the fried offerings.

I don't know why more business owners here and there along this beautiful part of the country, this stretch of the Mississippi, don't try and do what the owner of this establishment does. I absolutely love this place, my #1 gotta stop at/go-to when I am in the area.Even if they did though, I'd just keep coming back here first.

This was a really nice casual lunch stop on a road trip along the Mississippi. The Fish Shack appeared to be owner operated, and their menu was extensive with many homemade sides. Convenient dining area in a screened in porch area. My perch sandwich was great, and the hospitality of the owner and other guests was very nice.

If you're looking for something classy with big portions - choose another spot. But if you want friendly, fun service and good, fresh food with solid flavor and is clearly homemade, stop in!

Cute little hidden gem! The owner is a delight. The cod sandwich tasted so fresh with the perfect amount of breading. Tater tots were also yummy. Definitely worth trying it out! *cash only*
