My husband and I split the Western burger and the Bold & Bleu hamburger and they were both phenomenal!

When our group travels, we look for the local Mom & Pop best places. We definitely found that here! When the locals eat there, you can't go wrong. Nothing fancy here. Just real people coming together for a good meal & drink. Our server was friendly and connected with us over travel and football. The food was good with a lot of options. Next time we come through, we will definitely be stopping by again.

Owners and waitress very helpful friendly and attentive. As well as other locals whom were present. Food was good and reasonable. Love the small town atmosphere and the mural.

Very mellow atmosphere at first you think it's kind of standoffish but it's not really once you just take 5 seconds to realize that it's very friendly and has a hometown feel do it

Hadn't eaten there since the 80's. Delicious Swiss Mushroom Burger and Patty Melt. Waitress was very friendly and even did some music trivia with us. Owner chatted with us on the way out and again very friendly.

Great place in a small town. I was passing through and stopped in for a burger with bacon on it. Very good and pleasing experience.

While on our way home from vacation, we stopped overnight in Hamburg, Iowa. After unpacking our overnight bag at the local Hamburg Inn, we decided to grab a bite to eat. Since the Blue Moon was the only restaurant in town we decided we would eat there. Much to our surprise, the small town of Hamburg didn't need another restaurant, because the Blue Moon had it all!Walking in the door of the very neat and clean establishment, we were greeted with a smile. Everything about our meal was enjoyable. We had a cold beer and some onion rings to start. Our food was freshly made and came out quickly. It was a very good meal, start to finish. We especially enjoyed meeting a local corn farmer and chatting with him about his crops, as he helped himself to a bag of freshly popped (locally grown- probably his own) popcorn. This small town is a delight, just what we needed to be refreshed and back on the road!

Nice small Town bar/restaurant. There are plenty of tables/booths for people interested in a sit down meal. Simple but reasonably priced meals. Friendly staff. We were just passing thru and stayed nearby as Harvest Host guests.

I was working in Hamburg some years back and had the pleasure of enjoying a blue moon beer at the blue moon bar during a blue moon. This place has awesome food I'm gonna have to go back someday maybe during a blue moon.
