Their Falafel pitas are the best
The food is really good. Note a bad place, but it's basically like eating in a fast-food restaurant atmosphere.
Fantastic fresh hummus & pita chips!
One of my favorite places to eat. Must try the chips and hummus.
Tasty food, huge servings, great value.
One of the best (and authentic) beef shawarma I have had in the US. Perfect balance of spices, meat, tahini sauce (tarator), pickles and veggies.
Just like the ones you would get in a shawarma restaurant in Lebanon.
Good job!
If you haven't stopped in to Pita'z Mediterranean and American Cuisine (Center Point Rd, Hiawatha) you're truly missing out. My husband and I stopped in again for dinner, and the gentleman behind the counter met us with warm cordiality. We're repeat offenders here, so we got our usuals, shish tawook with baby ganoush and chips (below) and gyro with hummus and chips, and a side of falafel. We did notice how friendly and knowledgeable he was for the first timers who came in behind us. The food is nothing short of exquisite. Everything we've had on the menu has such a beautiful blend of spices and garlic that if you take a date there and that person doesn't want to suck face with you at the end of the night, that person is not the one. This is the food that helps you find true love. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, paired with that addictive creamy garlic sauce and perfectly fluffy chewy pita bread. And the baba ganoush, oh that smoky goodness. The falafel was delightfully fluffy on the inside, and crispy enough on the outside that it didn't fall apart when you bit into it. My husband really enjoyed his gyro platter, but isn't as wordy as I am, but I did see his eyes roll back at least twice, so it must be fabulous. Nonetheless, please please stop in to this criminally overlooked gem.
We love this place! Definitely one of my top favorite restaurants in town. I joke with my significant other that the Chicken Shawarma is my death row meal. It is so good! Pro tip: order your food ahead of time on the Mobile Bytes app and you can earn points that you can spend on future orders!

Stopped in today (9/30) randomly traveling through iowa. First off I was blown away by the variety of authentic dishes, I took the advice of the guy working the counter and got the chicken shawarma wrap and it was amazing! I love falafel so I ordered a side of that as well and it was top dog in the falafel game. Super impressed and wish I lived closer! I will definitely come back next time I'm passing through on 380.

If the pita bread was thicker, this place would have 5 stars! Unfortunately the iced tea tasted moldy. When I unwrapped the top part of my pita, it was so soggy that it fell apart all over my floor.
Thankfully, I was able to get in touch with the owner and he gave me a full refund and welcomed me back to give his food another shot.
The babaganush was fantastic. Everybody at the pita place was welcoming.

The food is good. The menu is very big, and there are so many options for everyone. They also have a kids menu. Reasonable quantity for the price.
The service is fantastic. The person taking orders and the chef both were very responsive and very friendly.
Nice atmosphere for the type of establishment. It is by no means a fancy place, but kinda low-key good vibes place with good food!
Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. The staff is also very willing to help you out to choose vegetarian options.
Parking: Plenty of parking available in their free parking lot.

Just be prepared for a nap after because you a LOT of fantastic food. Inside and outside seating is offered however the inside seating is a little bit cold besides that fantastic place to sate that craving for mediterranean food!

Don't buy or go to this Fake Food. thier owner is an a$$. I bought food worth $50. I got the worst Shawrma ever. kofta is made like a dirty burger.
I asked to return only the Shawrma but they said “We can refund” and I was informed that the owner will call me. The owner didn't call. I called to ask for a refund, told me that he missed up and gave me all my money back. Then told me to pay for the whole order again or would call the Police lol, I was going to pay for the part I took, and still will pay for it. My advice is DONT EAT FROM THIEM, and got food poison.
