I found this place after dropping my dog off at daycare and decided to try it out. The server addressed me immediately after finishing up with her table, and she assured me that their food doesn't take long to make. I told her that I didn't have much time before work.I sat at the back at the restaurant. The wall was pretty, but uncomfortable to sit against. The menu was decent, offering different takes on various breakfast foods. I got a vanilla latté which kind of just tasted like hot, flavored milk. I couldn't tell there was any espresso in it at all.For my meal, I ordered the Pork Belly Benedict with a bowl of berries. While it was pretty, it did not satiate my appetite. I don't like that the fresh blueberries were mixed with preserved strawberries for the berry bowl. As for Pork Belly Benedict, the poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the pork belly itself had the ideal amount of caramelization. That Dijon hollandaise was the worst hollandaise I've ever had though. It was so incredibly thick and tasted like straight up mayo...And, I love mayo, but it doesn't belong on eggs benedict. I brushed my teeth afterward and 6 hours later my mouth still feels like it's coated in mayonnaise. Good thing they added the pickled onions to cut that fat with acidity. I should have asked for more. The sauce itself had no dimension. Instead of the tangy with a kick kind of Hollandaise you would imagine, it tasted like straight fat. I get that hollandaise is a tricky to make. I come from a culinary family. But, I suggest either getting powder sauce packets or bringing in a professional to improve the house recipe. I will more than likely stop in again since I'm now working in this area but I will avoid the Benedict dishes next time, or get it without the sauce.Overall, service was impeccable. There was only one server but she checked on all 5 tables appropriately, in my opinion. She addressed everyone's concerns right away. Food didn't take long, like she promised. And, the space is aesthetically pleasing. Food = Not that great. But, I'll give them another try further down the line. Or, maybe I'll just go back for the mimosa flights ?

Breakfast Nachos - Served cold. The ingredients felt like everything was straight from a can. Chorizo was dry and unflavored. Disappointing for $14.Pork Belly Omelette - Nothing special. Pork belly tasted good, but the omelette was small. The potatoes were not crispy and were just there. My favorite was the butter on my bread. Also disappointing for $14.Service - The server was good and attentive.

This place is amazing! Great food, great drinks, great service. The mimosa flights are so much fun. The eggs Benedict was perfect (after I reordered with a runny poached egg) & the cheesy hash brown casserole is a perfect side dish. The menu is unique & diverse so I would likely think everyone in your group would find something to eat.The only downside is the table layout... it's small and kind of awkward to be that open/ close to the next table.

Vegetarian options: Waffles, pancakes, veggie eggs Benedict, yogurt & fruit….

Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids options

Parking: Lots of parking

Best spot for breakfast that I've personally eaten at. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing and I can almost guarantee your eyes will bug out when you see the size of them! Their pancakes dethroned Country Kitchen's, which is no mean feat. So good you can pretty much eat them without syrup and still be happy. Last thing I had was the deep fried french toast and they were amazing. Only complaints I have are the sausage they use has too much sage for my liking, and the ambiance of the place is rather cold and sterile and lacking in personality. But hey, you're there to eat and not stare at the walls, right?

Not the place for a salad. They don’t have many options. I’ve had great food here but the salad lane. How difficult could it be? It’s hardly more than iceberg lettuce with a few grape tomatoes. I had it with crispy chicken. The chicken is not great either. We had carry out so the two pieces of hot over breaded chicken just wilted the lettuce.

Loved this space. The coffee is great!! They have a good variety of food and service was amazing. They seem to be very popular. Very busy but they seems to handle it well. Favorite breakfast place in Cedar Rapids.

The food is fantastic! I got a sausage Benedict, which they let me switch out the sausage for pork belly. It was delightful! My son got a pancake and eggs. I also got a Bloody Maria. Their gravy was delicious and savory on the Benedict, and the pork belly was tender and juicy. The Bloody Maria I got was also delicious. Not too much tequila, just the perfect amount. As well, the flavor of it was just lovely. A little spicy, but not too much. Our waitress was a little slow on our order, particularly since I was there with my little and my friends had an even littler one. Also, we didn't get our water until we asked someone else. She was still very nice though!

First time visit. We had found many of our usual breakfast places busy at 9am on this Tuesday. We had almost given up and headed for Hardees. We glanced over to find maybe one car in the lot. We were seated promptly, saw no other customers. We were greeted and seated by one staff member, our waiter was training a new staff member, took our beverage order. He came with those and asked if we were ready to order, we were. Just as my son was starting his order, another patron walked in . Our waiter says just a minute, leaves our table and goes to wait on the new arrival. My son and I looked at each other in astonishment. That was a first... If we had not been ready to order when he asked, I could see that it would be acceptable, but this guy hadn't even waited to be seated , as the signs at the door ask. He must have been a very important guest! He served this man his drink before returning to take our order. We should have walked out. Once we ordered it took perhaps 15 minutes for our food to come. Presentation was nice. If you are expecting sausage gravy with your biscuits and gravy and didnt read the menu good , you might be surprised that these biscuits are served with a meatless chicken like gravy. I had ordered a Western omelette, parmesan potatoes and toast. I am a traditionalist and am not a fan of basil, sage, oregano, rosemary, on my breakfast food. I cant pinpoint the exact one but it was in my parmesan potatoes, the ham in the omelet was smoky, not a favorite of mine. We were not offered refills on our beverages and the coffee was not that hot to begin with . Our waiter never came back until he brought the " bill" which is a hand held device that he prints off at the table. I think instead of him training the new staff, he needs to be retrained. I didnt mention that he didnt bring our food, a third person cane out with that. For quite some time there were only 2 tables with diners. I get staffing shortages but we saw no less than 4 staff, why were we not offered refills on our drinks? Had he come back to our table before we were ready to leave, I would have asked. I will not be going back. A pretty presentation is not enough.

Had an amazing breakfast this morning. Avocado toast with bacon and egg with a side of tots. They were slammed with it being Father's Day and were short on staff (an issue beyond their control). Food was great and staff was doing all they could to bridge the gap, while remaining positive. I hope supporting local businesses like this helps them stay in business.

came in on day off with the hubby and been wanting to try the food since heard it being raved about. well we were less than impressed mine classic eggs benedict- i think they used the wrong hollandaise sauce recipe if thats what it was.. felt like they just poured a bottle of mustard on it(there is no mustard in hollandaise sauce). hubby got sausage and gravy and it looked like baby food puree.. these are two breakfast dishes he and i love and well DEFINITELY missed the mark here!

So finally, I went to get it. There are some little things I didn't know about.1. It is not very big. It's pretty small inside. It took us an hour and 8 minutes to get sat.2. They have a drive up for food.3. They are very short staffed. If you go in on a weekend with more than 4 people, it'll be a wait. The food was amazing! My best friend got the fried French toast, and it was like eating a French toast funnel cake. I ordered strawberry pancakes. So so yummy! They have flights. Almost everyone at my table got the Valentine's Day flight, but one got the mimosas flight. All in all, we really liked it minus the forever wait because we were all hangey lol

Good food, priced about how you'd expect for a sit down restaurant. Wasn't too noisy or crowded, even during a weekday lunch. Weekends are more crowded, it might be smart to call ahead about wait times. Staff was nice, and I enjoyed the selection and experience. Vegetarian friend didn't have too much trouble finding dishes they could eat as well.
