Yummy Banh Mi

Má ơi, ngon quá. This sandwich shop serves the most authentic Vietnamese Bánh mì in the area. I’ve tried many places from Iowa City - Hiawatha. This shop is the best from taste to price compared to the others. I recommend getting the #1 Bánh mì đặc biệt / specialty, and wash it down with a cafe sữa đá / Vietnamese Ice Coffee. The shop also offers an array of various drinks if coffee isn’t your thing. I highly recommend anyone to stop in for a good lunch. Sandwich and drink here taste better, more filling, and priced better than going to a place like Subway.

Wonderful vegetarian banh mi. 10/10 I highly recommend. The bread is delicious and the pickled veggies are a nice pop of flavor.

Best Bread Ever! Delicious options including Vegetarian. Perfect Boba Tea! Everything fresh made in house including tapioca pearls for tea. Yummy is right!

Wow... I was going to just drive through taco johns to grab a quick ... well who knows what. I really was just heading to the closest reliable place for lunch. That is when I saw Yummy Banh Mi. It looked neat. Bright colors and something new. So I figured I'd stop in and at least take a look. Honestly, I was more intrigued by the thought of a Vietnamese Sandwich and had to know what that was. So long review short, I stopped. Lisa the manager was great at explaining what would be good based on my desire for traditional versus more Americanized options. But I'm pretty adventurous so I went all in. I had the number 1 which is one of the more traditional Banh Mi Sandwiches. It came out and I asked her to cut it in half because I was sure I wouldn't eat the whole thing. Boy was I wrong. The bread is crusty but super soft on the inside so it doesn't feel like a ton of carbs. It comes out with the meat, Pate, and mayo in the bread but then you also get a side of veggies and sauce that can be added to your liking. I added everything but only about half of the Jalapeños which for me was the correct amount. Wow it was a flavor explosion. The combination of sweet to spicy was amazing. Then add cilantro and it was exceptional. Honestly it was a very pleasant surprise and stopping there was probably my best decision of the day!

Vegetarian options: I am not a vegetarian but as it was explained to me, the last several sandwiches were vegetarian.

Parking: I could see it getting busy but there should be plenty of parking

Kid-friendliness: I atmosphere is definitely kid friendly but I was concerned about the food. After speaking with Lisa, she said that there are two or three sandwiches that please those with more of a traditional palette.

Wheelchair accessibility: It appeared that there was wheelchair access on the sidewalk as well as getting into the restaraunt.

A line out to Blairs Ferry Road for Taco John's? Are you people serious? This place deserves that business. Amazing and freshly baked Bahn Mi sandwiches. Good for any time of day or night. The lady that runs the place is so nice, and soon they will be adding some tasty noodles to the repertoire. Give it a shot if you want some flavor in your life, and give up the fake drive thru food. 5 stars.

Best boba place in Cedar Rapids! The fruit tea, matcha, and hokkaido bubble teas were incredible. They taste like the boba I used to get back home. Additionally, the sandwiches are top-notch. Crispy and fluffy baguettes generously filled with beef bbq, pork belly, or traditional meats and fresh veggies. I’ve liked everything I tried so far! Finally, the service crew is so friendly and efficient. I appreciate that the lady taking our order took her time to explain the menu to us. Bonus part, they have a drive thru!
You can’t go wrong with this place! Let’s keep supporting our local restaurants!

Everything we’ve had from Yummy Banh Mi have been so fresh and delicious!!♥️ The sandwiches🥖🥕🧅and the spicy soup🥣🌶️are so yummy with lots of amazing flavor!!😍😋 My favorite drink is the coconut coffee🧋🥥😋and the boba teas are delicious also and with freshly made boba daily!!🧋😋👌🏼 Love their drive thru 🚘and the friendly crew!!!🤗

Food: relatively small menu (8 or 9 sandwiches), but the food is very delicious. Side veggies that come on sandwiches are super fresh, the bread is always fresh, and it's a good quantity for the price.

Drinks: There are so many delicious Boba options. You can not go wrong with any if them.

Ambiance and service: The restaurant is extremely clean from the inside, and the service is very nice.

Vegetarian options: Two vegetarian sandwitch options are available. And we can always request no meat for other sandwitches.

Parking: Plenty of parking in a free parking lot.

Extremely nice service we had to wait cuz we got there early and the bread was still baking. Totally worth it! Drinks were incredible Will 100% come back. The banh mi was fresh and delicious and exactly as I'd hoped for.
