Delicious Fish Special and Generous Portions - A Hidden Gem in Iowa! I recently tried Salt & Savory, a unique carry-out only restaurant in Iowa, after several friends recommended it for their Friday night fish special. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The Friday night special included three generous 4 oz cod fillets, a dinner roll, coleslaw, and potato wedges. The cod was cooked to perfection, not greasy at all, and accompanied by a delicious homemade tartar sauce that elevated the flavor even more. While the coleslaw was a tad runny for my liking, the flavor was excellent. As if the main course wasn't satisfying enough, I also decided to indulge in their cheesecake, available in turtle and cherry flavors. The portion was incredibly generous; one slice would have easily been enough for both my wife and me. It was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. I also appreciated learning that during the Lenten season, Salt & Savory offers catfish and shrimp meals, providing even more variety for seafood lovers like myself. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Salt & Savory. The quality of the food, generous portions, and friendly service make it a hidden gem worth revisiting. I'll definitely be back for more of their delicious offerings!

Salow's catered a teaching conference that I attended. Both breakfast and lunch were delicious! During the conference wrap up session, multiple people remarked about how delicious the food was.
