Celebrated our anniversary here. Awesome wings. Pizza and wine.
Great wines and people. Beautiful scenery and they often have live music and good food.
Beautiful place
What a delightful visit to this vineyard today! I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Hana and team were incredibly welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. And the wines? Simply wonderful! I especially loved the fruity red wine, and the white wine was an absolute delight. Highly recommend!
Calico Skies Vineyard and Winery is hands down one of our favorite places to visit! Every time we go, we’re blown away by the gorgeous views, the relaxed atmosphere, and of course, the amazing wine and wood-fired pizzas. I’ve honestly come to feel like it’s a home away from home!
It’s perched up on a hill with stunning scenery all around, making it the perfect spot to unwind with a glass (or a bottle) of their handcrafted wine.
The selection is fantastic, with something for everyone—whether you like dry or sweet, you’ll find a favorite. The free tastings are a nice touch, and the staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable, happy to help you find the perfect wine.
They also host live music, especially on Sundays, which makes for such a fun experience. Nothing beats sitting outside, sipping wine, and listening to great music, but sitting inside during the winter months is also such a treat because the space is gorgeous inside and out. The owners and staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. It’s a very family friendly space as well, aside from the adult only events they host occasionally for various holidays such as New Years Eve, Murder-Mysteries, and other celebrations with fantastic themes and so much fun to be a part of!
If you haven’t been here yet, you’re definitely missing out. Although it may seem like a drive from Sioux Falls, it really doesn’t seem like it with an easy route on the interstate/highway and it’s actually easier to head to calico skies from where we live in the NW side of the city than it is just driving across town to the east side using the stop and go streets. We are willing to make the drive in any weather. It’s always worth it with the experience and memories made!
Whether you’re looking for a fun day out, a romantic date, or even a unique event space, Calico Skies is the place to be. Can’t wait to go again!
Great atmosphere! Love their mimosas! Love the staff!
Absolutely lovely Place. Great live music, fantastic pizzas, and just a wonderful atmosphere. I wish we lived closer so we
Could come more often!
I usually don't go to places with crowds and lots of people. But I went to their Bingo event and I loved it. Will is a great host, and the pizza and wine are fantastic as always.
Friendly service, excellent pizza, tasty wine, and great atmosphere!
Great service and wine!

Great atmosphere! The wine and pizza were delicious!! Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful.
Been here twice this year. Excellent, friendly service, tasty wines, and terrific pizza!
We ordered a pizza and ended up waiting over an hour and a half after asking about when it would arrive - two - separate times. Disappointed, ended up asking for a refund. Wine was great but food took so long we wouldn’t know if it’s good or not! One star rating due to poor service and problem solving abilities of staff. Was not busy.
Pizza is good, the wine flows freely and the bingo is fun. Always a good time on bingo and pizza night.
I was excited to come back after almost 5 years to only be disappointed. The gal at the front lacked, and by the photo you can see barely gave me a tasting. I asked how many inches the pizza was, and she could only tell me there were 8 slices. Okay, so I put my hands up and asked her about how big. She shrugged her shoulders and pointed some decor, and said "about that big".My friend bought a bottle of blueberry and I just wanted to leave. I'm sorry, but the person at the counter was lacking knowledge to help me out and to have a good tasting experience.Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back. I'm happy to see the progress in the property, but please train anyone working on the counter to be less rude.
