I came here at 5pm on a Wednesday with about 25 middle school students. It doesn't look like your typical Pizza Ranch from the outside. I actually drove right by it in the motor coach because I wasn't expecting it to be located in what would be called the historic downtown area. But, enough about that. I witnessed 30 middle school children descend upon the buffet like a swarm of hungry locusts. To my knowledge, Pizza Ranch had no advanced warning that this was going to happen. When the other adults and I stepped up to the buffet, we were wondering if they'd left anything. This pizza ranch buffet took a full on middle school surprise assault and did not flinch. The food here wasn't just gruel for the masses either. It has some of the best fried chicken you will find anywhere.
Great place to eat. Buffet was full and fresh. Employees very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend eating here.
Buffet is always good
Great food, friendly people! Will be back again!
The place was smaller and didn't have all the same options as the larger pizza ranches out and ready on the buffet. But the attentive staff and cooks were quick to fill requests to make sure we had our favorites.
This is the best Pizza Ranch around! We usually get carry out but sometimes delivery! The service , and the food is excellent! The food is always warm!

The atmosphere could be a bit brighter. Hasn't changed decor in years. However the flooring was done in recent years which helped immensely

I’ve ordered several pizzas from this location because I’m usually in Iowa Falls during the weekends. Pizza Ranch has the best gluten free pizza imo. However, the amount of times I’ve received the correct order from this location was one time. I order the same thing every single time, and every single time they have managed to leave off toppings and/or dipping sauces that I’ve paid for. Waverly and Cedar Falls locations always get it right. Now, I am understanding of mistakes but not this many mistakes, all those toppings I’ve paid for and never got is money I lost and that is not fair and I’m getting tired of it. I don’t like to be that person so I have never once complained until today. I ordered for delivery, and they left out all of my toppings except one….keep in mind the order was repeated back to me over the phone.
I call them up and was given no apology only a “well on the computer it doesn’t say you ordered those toppings” well then, that’s not my problem, whoever took the order made a mistake because the order was correctly repeated back to me over the phone. The employee again gives no apology and instead just says “you can bring it in and exchange it” in such a way that he was definitely annoyed. So I paid a delivery fee for nothing. No offer to fix the situation by redelivering the correct one, or giving the delivery fee back, or even an apology. I was very annoyed by this because I had been flying and driving all day long, and chose delivery for that reason.
Once I get into the restaurant I am not greeted and still given no apology so this makes me even more annoyed and so I tell the employee about how I’ve paid for so many toppings that I’ve never gotten and never complained and how it’s getting to be a bit ridiculous and he just says “sorry that happened” he was not sincere at all. I’ve literally given them probably 30 bucks of my money for free on products I’ve never recieved and he didn’t care one bit, no offer to compensate me at all only a fake “sorry that happened” after I complained in person. Someone needs to work on what customer service looks like and sounds like.

Maybe it's a sign from above to get back to my cleaner diet, but this Pizza Ranch location has not got one single delivery order correct in the last several orders. There's always something missing. ALWAYS, 100% fail rate. Okay, the first few times it was just a missing dipping sauce or two, or drinks, or a side item missing, but this last time they forgot to put 3/4 of the requested toppings on a pizza. No hyperbole. We ordered four toppings, received one. Both the gentleman that took the order and a the one that was spoken to when we called to complain (possibly a different person from the first call) were a bit rude and condescending. Their "phone" is a term I use loosely because I believe it to actually be a tin can on a string, because it sounds terrible and cuts out, a lot. To make matters worse, when we called in about the 3/4 of the toppings missing from our pizza that I paid to have delivered, the solution was a rude "Bring it in and we can exchange it." We paid for delivery for a specific reason and now we have to accommodate the poor service and pick up what we ordered, again, after paying for delivery. This was actually the second time a delivery was messed up and the solution was to bring it in to exchange it. We basically paid you a delivery fee for the privilege of visiting you and picking up our correct pizza ourselves.
There were no in-person apologies nor apologies from the male(s) on the phone. The female manager I spoke with afterwards on a third call that I initiated, did apologize.
We are not people to complain. We let many non-delivered yet paid for items slip away without a complaint but with plenty of disappointment over the last several months. We are reasonable people and understand things happen. But when the rate of correct order success is 0% and the staff is so rude and apathetic when you step up and simply ask to receive what you paid for, who know what else goes on behind the scenes. I just don't understand how it can be so terrible all the time. Fix your phone lines and be more careful taking and fulfilling orders, and maybe those dealing with the public could learn a customer service skill or two.
We are done with Pizza Ranch. Next time, no matter how tired or sick we are, if we want pizza we will just put on pants and go buy frozen.
Best of luck!
