This is a truly unique experience! It feels like the most fancy place. Every time we go, I feel as though I've stepped into the pages of a Victorian romance. Beautiful antique decorations, mirrors and collectables adorn every surface. It is visually engaging and stimulating without feeling "cluttered". Soft music allows for conversations. The small town location means neighbors are often greeting each other over a delicious, beautifully presented cocktail, pannini sandwich, charcuterie board or exquisite dessert. Casual attire or the most glamorous outfit will all fit in, here. This is definitely one of those rare, hidden treasures that await the adventure-seeker. This is not a place to go to rush in and rush out. It is a destination all on its own. Martini, old fashioned, lemon-drop, mules, such a wide variety of specialty cocktails, all delicious and all uniquely presented.
We stopped for lunch during the Central Iowa Junk Jaunt. Both the egg salad on toast and chicken salad on toast were excellent.
Friendly folks working here. Fun and interesting decor. Definitely worth stopping in.

Charmed when we stepped into the door. Reminded me of the Bristros in Paris that I love so much mixed with American energy and small town hospitality. We had a very uncommon experience of 2 dishes that were not clean. We were not sure what to do. We told the owner, who was absolutely mortified. They were very busy and we knew it was a fluke. The restaurant is sparkling clean. She made the experience one of the best I've ever had. The food was delicious and we had THE BEST time! It was the highlight of our weekend getaway! If she would have had Vueve Clicqout I don't think I'd ever leave. That is how it feels in Paris! The food and drinks were great and the service exceptional!.

From the moment you walk on the door of Juniper and Olive you will feel like the only person there!
The welcoming personality of the little cafe/shop is one it its own. The owner will will greet you and talk to you as if she has known you for her entire life, you know, kind of like the small town kids that everyone knows.
The drink list is very well laid out and has excellent descriptions of the drinks.
Her paninis are top notch! I can honestly say I have never had a panini as delicious, wholesome and perfectly baked as these were. I would recommend the pepper panini with bacon!
Of course we had to "clink clink" our drinks because as Cyndi says, life is a party darling.
Do yourself a favor and visit this place! Make sure to check out all of her decor including the glass kitty that sits up on the shelf as you go towards the bathroom!!

Five stars all around for this hidden gem! I’d give it six if I could! The atmosphere is magical and the handcrafted cocktails are top tier! Not to mention the owners and staff are the absolute best. We hosted a large gathering here and took advantage of their party package and it did not disappoint. I cannot tell you how smooth and perfect it all turned out and the best part was it was SO stress free. I wish I had taken more pics to post. The food was amazing as well and all our guests had amazing reviews too. Jewel has some cute shops nearby to shop in and is always a great little destination in our books.

Juniper & Olive is one of those places that just makes you smile!! Cyndi is so kind and sweet, she loves all of her customers! All the staff are amazing and the drinks and food are to die for! If you have never been, it is ABSOLUTELY worth the drive, and I HIGHLY recommend the Espresso Martini! Best in the state!!!
