Lucky's Grub, Pub & Sports Bar

The only place in town still serving food, and got to meet the lady that made the pizzas! I'm guessing she was the owner. She and bartender were very kind and tolerated our questions about the beautiful original bar. 1920s era, well maintained piece of living history. What a treat!

Stopped with my brother! Split a pizza (he had drinks not me I am the DD) and brother paid for his drinks and I was paying for half the pizza with some other customer (just noticed there are three different prices for the pizza on here let alone what they actually charge? ) anyway it was my turn to pay and she charged me $17 for half the pizza cost unmmm excuse me no ma’am she said well he had two drinks! I said yes and he paid for his drinks you swiped his card twice!! She proceeded to hand me two drink chips,nice but I don’t live here (and I don’t drink) and my brother don’t live here so they are no good to us!! Needless to say I won’t be back! The pizza was good but the bartender needs to get her head out of her @$$ and pay attention to what she’s doing!

Well, a lot has happened down here at this bar. Seems to be the best place around for pizza. They have their own, not create your own, but I've never had a bad one down here. Just made sure the crowd is cool. It can get a little rated R here at times, especially as of

I was driving through town on my way back to Des Moines looking for somewhere to grab some food. I drove by this bar which was not open yet. Marc the owner " said come on in and I will fix you some food". I was told the food is great, I agree. The food was hot and fresh. Jan was super friendly. Thank you very much for the offer. If you are in Keokuk. Lucky's is a great place for food and drinks!
