My family needed to eat dinner last night so my mom called wackos and asked for our order to be made and ready to go by 4:45 which was an hour from the time she called. Other places will take our order and make it a few minutes prior to pickup fresh and we’ve done that with wackos previously. refused to refund on wrong order. things labeled steak are not steak. if you order it, it will show up to your table in the shape of a steak but its literally ground beef. management won't talk to you they make a server deal with you instead.
we have eaten there several times during the day which has always been a good experience,
last night was the first time for supper.
three of us, one sandwich the bread was burnt, my steak was over cooked, forgot to refill drinks.
neighboring table didn't have any better experience over cooked steak, under cooked shrimp, and spilt the beer that was ordered .
over all it was said sorry we got busy!

Wackos is a hidden gem dive bar with great food at decent prices. The hours can be inconsistent, but it's a laid-back spot where you can show up in farm clothes. The pizza pockets and Cobb salad are favorites. The place has had some renovations, with sticky tables like any bar. Service can be slow, but the food, like the Ruben, is enjoyable. The steak deburgo melts your mouth and the seasoning is amazing, brought out hot and sizzling. They also have hot beef and hot turkey. The jalapeno poppers are highly recommended. The club sandwich was very good. A chocolate malt was quite tasty. They just opened a large outdoor seating area. It feels like a wholesome home cooked meal, with homemade soup, dressings, and pie. A wacko experience overall.
