I was very excited to see a sign for an Amish Country Store while driving back to Des Moines. We stopped to take a look and it was a sweet store to take a look at. Some homemade items from local Amish people, some food items, and some home items. They had a decent bathroom to use as well. I would stop in again if I was on the road in the future.

You feel welcome the second you walk through the door. Fantastic selection of brochures highlighting various destinations within the state as well as fun souvenirs to take with you. The in-house Maidrite has incredible food and generous portions that won't leave you hungry.

Best travel stop ever. The only thing is limited hours 9 am - 8 pm.
The gas station across the street is open 24/7.
Important things to know.
Clean Restrooms, good eats at Maid Rite (10:30 am - 8 pm). Start your day at the Amish Bakery. They have fresh bread, donuts, and carmel & cinnamon rolls.
If that isn't enough reason to stop. There is a very large Amish country store ( Think Cracker Barrel store on steroids). You could easily spend a whole day shopping. Most items are Amish made. Before you enter the store, you will find wood furniture on the front porch for sale. Inside is the normal welcome center display of travel and tourist info. Then, the real adventure begins. There is a candy section, jewelry, jarred jams, jelly, pickels, cider, and cookbooks. You’ll find souvenirs, toys, home decor areas, and a large kitchen area (tools, gadgets, dishes, storage containers, and bakèware).
If you find yourself traveling and can even plan a small detour to stop here, it is so worth it!
Dietary restrictions: Sugar-free goods area, vegetarian options, and nut free foods. There are good Keto options, too.
Parking: Areas for horse & buggy, cars, and large RVs. Also, there is a dog park and small cover pavilion with a picnic table and grill
Kid-friendliness: There is plenty of grass for kids to play on. There is a fenced dog park and a covered picnic table. Photo worthy yard art for the kids. The outdoor space is clean and well cared for. Kid friendly foods at the bakery and Maid Rite eatery. The one thing to keep in mind is that there are a lot of breakable and expensive items when walking through the country store. Children need to be able to walk (not run), look but don’t touch, use inside voice, be respectful, and polite.
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance and main isles are wide enough for standard wheelchair.

We stopped here to get some tourist information about Iowa. The restroom was clean. There are a lot of varieties of jam available for purchase There is an easy geocache near the gazebo in back of the store. We didn't get anything to eat, but there were a lot of options. There is a nice dog park with two areas- one for small dogs only. If you've been traveling and need something to read, there is a Little Free Library out front.
Parking: Not a lot of options for large RVs, but we found convenient space at the edge of the parking lot.
