Bun 2.5/5 The cornmeal dusted bun was completely average Toppings 2.5/5 The nacho cheese and pickle topping was exactly what was expected. Basic cheese whiz like a chopped cheese or philly cheesesteak. It could have used more cheese. Burger 3/5 The meat was seasoned well, but the loose meat left us wanting more of a burger bite. Overall 3/5 Maid Rites are an uncommon treat, but the need to have one of these each year is also uncommon. Would try once, but wouldn't stray too far from Interstate 35 to have one again.
The pork tenderloin sandwich was a delicious alternative and would recommend that first!

Wonderful place; just wish I had made it here earlier in the day instead of 10 minutes before closing time. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries, peanut butter shake… out of this world good! Everything was fresh, hot, delicious! I will definitely make another trip here to do this all over again!

We stopped in here on our way home from the Mayo Clinic. I got the pork tenderloin sandwich. Very good! My wife had the chicken wrap and she really liked it. Service was quick.
Service needs lots of improvement! Walk up to the counter and the blond with glasses just looks at you! No "Hi, may I take your order" or anything. Then another finished taken our order and No "Thank you" after you hand her money? WTHeck?? Food was ok but expensive for chicken strips and a hamburger. We stop there 6 to 8 times a year traveling in our RV. I'll be cooking from now on when we stop to go shopping there!! Hope the owner improves the employees or they will be closing there doors!!

I paid $13 for fried chicken, and the chicken they gave me was pulled out of the glass case by the cash register, and the skin was like biting through leather. The whole point of getting roasted chicken is, it’s supposed to be crispy. This was not. And the people who worked there are absolutely miserable. I’ve eaten here before when the food was delicious, but lately the quality is really bad.

Oh. My. Word. The loose meat sandwich is just what I remember growing up, when Maid Rite reached into a few more states: flavorful, meaty (they don't cut corners like other fast food chains), and awesome. The cherry shake is also to die for.

The loose meat was too dry. We had one in Cedar Falls that was much moister and had better flavor. Lots of neat stuff to look at/buy, but the prices are a lithe steep.
