If you love that Northern Midwestern staple of a maid rite (1926), this is a great place to stop. I drive from Southern Missouri up to visit my mom in Minneapolis every Thanksgiving and or Christmas and I can't wait to get out of the top of Missouri and pull off exit 4 of Iowa on I-35 and have a delicious loose meat sandwich and onion rings at this place. Country store vibes dog play cage out front if you're traveling with your dogs. Come and go gas station right there. Just a great place to have a reset on travels

Buy something off the menu it doesn't matter what it is IT IS AMAZING!! And them daily specials are always on point!!! When your belly is fat and happy happy head out and slowly shop the store there is something you need I PROMISE!! HOWEVER IF YOU LEAVE WITHOUT A SLICE OF PIE! I hope you hit your shin on a trailer hitch! Cause its Always that good!!!

Very disappointing. We ordered at the drive thru and then we were completely ignored until we just left. Several people walked by the window, looked our way and then just walked away. We won't be back.

Went through the drive thru. Ordered 2 things a Pepsi and a French fry. Waited 15 minutes and my fries were so cold it was like they'd been in a refrigerator. I was starving so I tried to eat them but they were so bad. Threw those in the bag and tried the Pepsi which had about 1/10th of the syrup it needed. Whole meal in the garbage and home I went to make lunch
We tried ordering 2 Pepsi but the guy at the speaker could not understand that despite repeating it multiple times. I guess it was a blessing.

Went through the drive-thru. Waited a long time for our food. They were very busy, so not surprised on the wait. But they kept forgetting what we ordered. When we got our order they almost forgot part of our order. It was set somewhere and no one told him. Before we left we realized one drink was forgotten and 2 side. The food was OK. Not great for the price. They need to go back to where you get a meal with a drink and side. Way to much money.

I love to come here during the day!!! Later in the day not so much, staff is ruder and the fried sides are always clumpy, okra will be mushy bc of it. But during the day, the okra is fresh and all broken up, they bring ranch when I ask and don't roll their eyes at me when I ask for the 3rd time for ranch (night). I understand closing in so much time, but as someone who works second shift, work from home or not, sometimes lunch is late and it's nice to have somewhere to rush up to, just wish the service was better at night.
