We stopped while driving north and enjoyed two dip cones. The service was prompt and we'd certainly stop again. There was also plenty of room to pull off the highway with our camping trailer.

Stop for a treat amid the beautiful Iowa cornfields. Locals and those just passing through equally find refreshment and a bit of old-fashioned, unhurried, unfranchised relaxation at the Dairy Sweet.

This place is great. It reminds me of the old "LeDucs" in the village of Wales, Wisconsin. Lamont Dairy Sweet is situated on Iowa Hiway 187 in the little historic town of Lamont, Iowa. The food is wonderful and get this, THEY MAKE MALTS TO ORDER. How cool is that? You can order a rib sandwich or a steak. Dining is outside or in your car. This is the kind of place that makes aimless cruising fun. Iowa needs more of this, so when I find this kind of place I get excited....
