Exceptional staff. Attentive and polite. Great atmosphere inside. Really nice patio with great views of the river. I had Rueben appetizer and a salad. My fav way to eat the Rueben now.
Was back in the Quad Cities for family affairs and stayed in LeClaire once again. Not a lot of choices for late night food and ended up trying Bierstube. We ended up going there two of the nights we were in town and enjoyed both of our meals. The first night was a Tuesday night and we arrived 30 minutes before closing. There were a few people in there at the time. We both ordered the two sausage meal and enjoyed our dinner very much. Great selection of German beer as well to wash everything down with. Went back on a Friday night and had the Jagerschnitzel with green beans and pancakes and the Mrs. had the soup and salad. Both were good. The cake was good too. Have been to LeClaire many times and have eaten at most places there. For LeClaire, this is a great restaurant that is easy to get to and right on the river. Staff was very pleasant. Would recommend to others and would return in the future. I wouldn't pay attention to the poor reviews from people that have less than 10 reviews and most likely had a bad day!
A really beautiful nice restaurant with German food and bier right on the Mississippi River. Free parking wraps around 2 sides. The Köstritzer-Schwarzbier is cold, refreshing and smooth and the food is very delectable!! Love the atmosphere with a German and industrial aesthetic. Bathrooms very nice and clean.
I’ve been to Germany on multiple occasions, so I am very familiar with the food. To call what I ordered Leberkas is a stretch. It looked and tasted more like bacon spam that had been fried. The side of Spatzle was dry and bland, if not for the salt and pepper packet there would have be no taste at all. The highlight of my meal was the red cabbage. It was flavorful and my only complaint is the cabbage leaves need to be cut down a little. I could not finish the meal. It went in the trash and I ordered a Rueben from the hotel restaurant to replace it.
8/01/23 Dinner. I had the sausage dinner - I picked the halepeneo cheddar sausage (4) and the bavarian brotwurst sausage (3) with 2 sides: lemon chicken white-bean soup (4) and the potato pancakes (5, that were hot and delicious). My wife had the wiernerschnitzel dinner (3) with the same sides. For an appetizer, we got the ruben egg rolls (5, they were excellent - and a generous portion).A couple of fruit flies and a house fly kept us busy the whole meal guarding our food (2). Also, it tasted like the oil used to cook our food was old. The fried food came out dark enough to make me think that. Check out the pics and see if the fried foods don't look too dark. It was a lot of food, so we brought home leftovers.Plus a 4% fee for using my credit card.Ambiance = 4Food = 3Service = 3Flies = 2Credit card fee = 2Overall = 2.8 out of 55 = Excellent: Uniquely satisfying.4 = Very Good: Better than expected.3 = Average: An everyday experience. Most fall into this category.2 = Fair: Below par. I ordered takeout at the bar and it was very busy with two large parties and a very full restaurant. I didn't mind the long wait, but when I arrived back at my hotel and opened the containers to eat, the schnitzel sandwich excluded the mayo I asked for and was basically an overcooked piece of crispy chicken, dry on a pretzel bun. Very disappointing. The salad was good. The strudel was a standout due to the addition of a side of caramel sauce and cinnamon as well as vanilla ice cream. The portion was small but the taste was excellent.
Passing through during an overnight stop at the nearby COE campground. Had a very good meal. Service was excellent, staff very friendly and attentive. Took a six pack of sausage to go for future meals and wish I'd bought twice that amount. I was very happy with the sausages, some of the best I have ever eaten. Very pleased with everything.

German menu with traditional American style cuisine options. Cole slaw very good! Outdoor seating options. Easy access off the highway.
Before our departure from ORD we spent one night on the Mississippi River in Davenport/Le Claire and visited the "Bierstube" - since it was right next to our hotel.Ok, it was worth the try, but you can't do it with bayr.Compare the food - whether apple strudel/sausages or something similar - the guests mainly ordered burgers and fries. The restaurant was well frequented/ whether it is due to the public holiday on July 4th, the excellent location or the idea cannot be judged. In any case, the staff was very polite and the ambience was harmonious.Comparing the food with the originals would be unfair and therefore outside the scope of the assessment. Nonetheless, great idea and well executed

Awful food. Wienerschnitzel was burnt. Small portions and the Spaetzle was terrible. Waiter was nice. Avoid
They have a solid selection of German beers if that's what you're after. The food pairings are decent - definitely German style. The German, warm potato salad is the best. Service is adequate and gets the job accomplished. A place to check out if your a visitor to the Quad Cities!
Nice outside dining area overlooking the Mississippi River.. Service was not the best. (Got any drink specials? Uh, I don't think so.) Hoped to buy a t-shirt (bc I'm a tourist) but they were severely limited. Oh
The food was spectacular. I went with a party of four and we all loved our choices. Their rye bread is to die for. If it's a nice night, make sure you sit outside. The view of the river is such a beautiful backdrop. Roberto was our server and he was hands down the best server I've had in I don't even know how long. All I all it was a perfect evening and I would highly recommend! Oh! And if you have room, their black forest is a perfect decadent treat!
Great service but have never seen wiener schnitzel so burnt before. They brought another one out that was slightly less burnt but very disappointed. Spaetzle was drown in butter and flavor was lacking. Portion was very small. Would not go back again.
