They were rude to the group of us that walked in. The group that went we have never ate and we didn't know what we could add and the cheese curds and fries were cold. The kid at the front counter didn't know what was on the menu. Also they don't know what 12 inches at all is. They just wanted to stand around and get a paycheck. The bread was too much not enough meat there was not much lettuces and the onions were cut too big

I would not visit again. Service is awful. Employees were not helpful in any way. Even after making it clear we have never been here before, I tried asking what was most popular. There are photos on the menu, apparently I should not have pointed that out asking about if the photo is the most popular sandwich, as the girl made sure to tell me she doesn’t know what’s up there in a snarky way. The food was not great. Was told the sandwiches are a “footlong” or the hot sandwiches are half a foot long. My sandwiches were maybe 4-4 1/2 inches… math isn’t mathing with what they showed us the size is. The fries were definitely reheated, not fresh. Terrible. No sauce??? Or maybe there was but the employees don’t offer much assistance. I’d give no stars, not worth the money. I would go across the street to the McDonald’s for better service and food unfortunately. I’m sorry your business doesn’t appreciate business walking through the doors.

There is a pretty view of the Mississippi, but the food was very bland. I had the potato soup bread bowl; the soup was from a processed mix and the bread was tasteless. Only try this if you like overpriced, fast food soup and sandwiches.

I got snowed it at a nearby hotel and decided to step over to this sandwich shop next door. The walk was less than 3 minutes. Once inside, the shop looked and smelled clean. Quintin and the girls on the line who took my order had a polite demeanor and my simple veggie but huge sandwich was delicious and fast to make. The bread fresh. Delicious potato salad and refillable fountain drink. The customers after me got a sample of soup they were trying out before having to purchase it as a whole. I'd say that's great customer service. Thank you Hungry Hobo. (P.s check out their cute wallpaper)

My girlfriend came in to grab an application and some sandwiches. When she grabbed the application the girl behind the counter gave her a dirty look. When she was ordering her sandwich, the girl was treating her like she was dumb and made her feel very self conscious. I’m not sure if they’re just homophobic or really just that rude to all their customers. Disappointing because we usually love this place. Sandwiches were subpar and workers made my gf cry.

First off, if you're not local to the QCA, then you probably don't know about Hungry Hobo. Growing up in Bettendorf, it was a must after soccer practice or on a random weekend. This was the first time at this location in LeClaire and Quenton was awesome. Super friendly, great service and, as always, the sandwiches were amazing.

Thei is a very basic sandwich place. Sandwich was made in 15 seconds and the "hot" sandwiches are heated up in the microwave. The draw is obviously the location. Probably wouldn't eat here again.

Terrible experience, messed up my order and made me bring it all back in when I had already gotten home to make sure I was telling the truth. They wouldn’t many it so it was ready eggnog I got there even though I had hungry children. Then I got there and they were all children working and like laughing because I was upset and took their time making my food. Very unprofessional and if they weren’t messing around the whole time making meals they would maybe be able to get it right. Not happy!

I have never been to one, it was within walking distance to our hotel. Not your typical fast food and great on a long road trip! Sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes and CAKE! The cake is petty darn good, frosting is light and not too sweet, hits the spot when in need of cake!Vegetarian options: Baked potatoes offer nice alternative to sandwiches or just having to get a vegetable sandwich!

My family and I just stopped by at the Hungry Hobo. They were supposed to be open until 8. We got there at approximately 7:15 and the doors were locked. We looked through the windows and a worker was hiding behind the counter. It was a real disappointment. I may have ranked the food and atmosphere higher if I were given the opportunity to experience it.

Cold deli sandwich is one thing. When you heat meat and cheese in a microwave and call it a 'hot' sandwich, I just don't know. It lacks creativity, imagination and is plain lazy, plus it tastes like microwaved meat and cheese, maybe bread too....not a
