Outstanding little restaurant in small town southern Iowa. My dad and I went on a fishing trip here but because of the rain I think we spent more time at The Barnyard than we did on the lake. All the wait staff are amazing. So friendly and kind. I really liked the solid oak tables and chairs. The food was good. Just an enjoyable time. Loved meeting all the locals. It kind of felt like we were part of the family.

This restaurant did not disappoint! From the friendly customer service to the delicious food, everything was excellent. I ordered the patty melt, and our son had a hamburger both were served hot, flavorful, and of excellent quality. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the presentation of each dish was charming. The warm, hometown hospitality made the experience even better. Everyone who came in was greeted in such a personable and welcoming way. We can’t wait to return! Thank you for the wonderful service and hospitality.

The atmosphere was homey and friendly. The service staff was nice. The dining area holds maybe 30-35 people. The food was good. I always enjoy a place that serves gizzards. My little country heart. My husband and I had the special, which came with candied carrots. They were amazing! I don't typically care for cooked carrots, these tasted like sweet potatoes. Just so delicious.

Ordered the Barnyard Burger with sweet potato fries and the “BBQ” Burger w/onion rings, along with the corn nuggets. Food was fantastic, service was fantastic. Tea was great as well! Owner/staff talked with us for a few minutes about where we were from and where we were going. Very Nice place, Staff and Owner. Will definitely stop here again if we’re heading that direction👍

So glad this place is next to the camp ground (Ted’s TV Park). I had a burger with a side salad and hubby had the special. BOTH were excellent ….. good food … great prices!

2 of us drove thru on a Tues evening going back towards KC , they were fairly busy. our burgers were great, fries were crispy, tea was real, service was very good. no complaints about food or service and it was clean. I would definitely stop again

Really cute little place off the highway. One of those places where you know the locals go because everyone seem to know everyone when we walked in but that didn't change anything. Had to pork tenderloin it was good, meatloaf was okay, wait staff was great.
Good breakfast but crazy long wait for pancakes and eggs. Took over 45 min to get our food.

We stopped in about an hour before closing time on a weekday (closes at 8 p.m.). Our group had a chicken strip basket with corn nuts, grilled ham and cheese sandwich with corn nuts, and The Bull specialty burger and fries. The food w came in a timely manner and our entire group was pleased with their food. The burger was the best that I've had in quite some time. The bacon and the onion rings on the burger were prepared just right and it had just the perfect amount of BBQ sauce. Our waitress was friendly and checked on our group several times. The menu has plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was our first time stopping at The Barnyard, but won't be our last.
