Everyone needs to try The Barnyard Restaurant ! Drove from Kansas City with some friends and we stopped for lunch. All of us chose the ribeye special with mashed potatoes and gravy, seven bean salad, and a piece of cake or pie. It was literally the most delicious comfort meal any of us had ever had! The owner was kind and friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The server was wonderful as well. She went above and beyond and kept us laughing with her sense of humor. To top it off, they had homemade cinnamon rolls with vanilla or caramel frosting and cherry turnovers on the counter for sale and which were SO tasty!
Can hardly wait to come back and try their breakfast!!

I was in NY visiting family + the Barnyard was amazing. There was 13 of us, they stayed open for us and were super accommodating. The ladies were friendly and funny. The food was delish & the service was great. Definitely recommend 🥰

Friendly staff and comfortable setting. It was like being in a family dining room. The breakfast was typical cafe fare. Good, but nothing amazing. Prices, however, WERE amazing.

Great rural Cafe. I had the daily special, chicken fried steak with gobs of mashed potatoes and gravy and corn. Dessert came with the special and was German chocolate cake. $13 and it was very good.

What a great find on a road trip. Breakfast til 10:30, sandwiches, burgers. I had a hamburger and fries. The burger was actually bigger than the bun and was cooked all the way through. French fries were delicious. My husband had the special, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, corn, and cake for dessert. He finished his entire plate which is a rarity for him. All the food was delicious. And only $30, including iced tea. We will definitely stop here again.

I've heard great things about this place. Today must have been an off day. We waited 15 minutes just to get a menu and then 30 more to get a burger. The service was the worst that I have seen in years. Nobody asked if we needed anything, how was your food, can we get you a refill. Absolutely nothing and 2 tables of people arrived after we ordered and they both got their food before us. Unfortunately the burgers were not worth the wait today and won't give it a 2nd chance.

Friendly place with a passionate owner (he raises his own beef) ..the burgers were amazing!! Will definitely pin this on maps for future eats. Oh and there's a playground outside fir the kiddos!
