We had the most amazing time!! We stayed using Harvest Hosts. Tried tons of different wines. Bought a case of wine we liked so many we couldn’t just pick one! Their Irish Wolfhounds were awesome and soooo friendly! They have lots of gifts and guns to pick from as well! Highly recommend stopping here!
Drove there from Des Moines on a Saturday afternoon to find out they were closed. Closed sigh alond the highway and an open sign in the window. Door locked. If you own the business and read this how about updating your hours of operation.
Good wine varieties. Tasting and to go wines only. Very friendly
Tasting was very informative as to how they make their wines. We decided on the sweet whites to buy.Had a wonderful visit after the tasting.
Nice selection.Great experience during our visit.
Such a unique place...and really a hidden gem! Great couple making wine and working together. The wines are delicious and even got me to buy one I never thought I would because their dry wine is actually smooth. They also sell hand guns which is super fun to me! Seriously some great small business owners and wine makers! Hilarious wine names too! Go check them out! We found 5 to bring home this time...and more next time!
What a wonderful surprising small winery! No frills, just a great assortment of wines, which you can try every one! Jim was informational on the wines, grapes and processing. The highlight is his guitar and singing! Ask for Kansas and Eagles music! A bit of sunshine on a cold winter day!
Was a fun little whole in the wall visit. Not a huge tasting room but Jim fixed us up and we got to try mostly all of their wines. The wines were very good and we were pleased to actually find a dry red here in Iowa.
Quaint little place with great wines and and great stories from proprietors, Jim and Sue! (Especially Jim!) We stopped when we saw their sign, and stayed for an hour and a half! Definitely worth the trip, and we will be back soon!
Excellent beverages for the discerning palate. They have a selection to satisfy any preference, and the attention to their craft is unsurpassed.

Considered myself not a wine person until I tried theirs. They are great and I have a couple of favorites.
I have never passed through Lohrville without stopping to stock up. Jim and Sue continue to amaze me with their outstanding hospitality and craftsmanship.
Although slightly bias, they are my parents, I can tell you that they put their heart and soul into this business. You will be thoroughly impressed with the quality of wine that is made here. Excellent selection to fit all wine tastes.
These people treat you like youre right at home. Beautiful decor and delicious wine (with tasting rights and a storyline of where each wine came from of course,) the winery is an amazing place to grab an affordable bottle of delicious wine. Their peach is probably my favorite, but they have all kinds to suit your taste buds.
I recently purchased a keg for my home. I love the peach and they have been super helpful in answering questions and getting me all set up. I love having them nearby!
