Wonderful authentic find in the middle of Mount Pleasant, IA. The food was amazing, the owners make everything fresh - including the tortillas. The agua de tamarindo was perfect. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Makes me sad that I won’t pass this way again, just stopped for the night and found a great place to have some dinner.

We absolutely LOVED our visit to Antojitos Maya! Truly the best authentic Mexican food we’ve ever eaten. We had the enchiladas and tacos (Barbacoa are the best!) and we devoured them all. The service was lovely as well. The family is very sweet and hardworking, and is doing an amazing job with their restaurant. We were just passing through and needed a quick dinner, and as they were closing they let us come in for a quick to go order. So happy they did! We were so blessed with the yummy food. Couldn’t recommend more! Go eat here! Bless you!

Wow! This is a very special resturant. Small cozy place. The menu was small with plenty of options. Place order at counter and food is brought out to your table. The lady taking our order was very helpful and nice. The cooking area was open and easy to watch food being prepared. Was nice to be at a Mexican themed restaurant and NOT have a big bowl of chips and salsa, seriously was a great choice to not be filled up with chips. The food was very fresh and full of flavor. We got fajitas and street tacos. Loved the choices of meat with the street tacos. My favorite was steak with chicken in 2nd place. The food was very simple fresh and full of traditional flavors. This restaurant is a top quality authentic mexican restaurant
