Food was great. However, my grilled strips were put in a cardboard container. I did not notice until I took it out of the bag and the container fell apart and the tenders fell on my pants. The fries and everything else almost fell out the bottom of the grease soaked bag. If I was local, it would be different. Very annoying during 7 hour drive.

Love me some A&W rootbeer.. the food was hot and fresh, the root beer was on a fountain.Not quite as good as the original, but still very delicious, this little restaurant is always busy, the folks do a great job of getting you in and out of there, the only downfall is they need to be a little more friendly,... It was reasonably priced. It was clean and well maintained.. I usually stop here every time I go to iowa... Highly recommend for a quick lunch.. For some delicious, A&W nostalgic root beer!!

I grew up with A&W root beer floats. So stopping by here always puts a smile on my face.
They also make some of the biggest and fiercest burgers around: a triple cheese burger, a double spicy papa burger, and what I got today... a double mushroom onion melt. It's hard for me to choose between. These three!
And you can still get the mugs ($7.49) or the baby mugs for $3.99. Along with hats and tee shirts.

Ordered to go since traveling. Food was hot and fresh. Float was bubbling over so I asked for a bigger cup to put it in and they immediately gave me one. Very friendly and helpful employees!!

Food got 3 stars because it actually tasted really good and most of it was pretty warm. Service is 0 stars. The Jonah Hill look-alike behind the counter took our orders with zero personality 12:46. At 1:20, a girl came over and attempted to bag our order. She stood and stared at the screen, grabbed a sack of chicken strips like she was scared of it, half place it in the bag, then took it back out. Walked away nervously. At 1:25, Jonah finally got done messing with the pop machine and also attempted to bag the order. He put in a burger, took it out, put some other things in, and said it was ready. I took it out to the car (because the place was absolutely packed with people waiting on food) and guess what, my cheeseburger was not in there. It was the one he took out 🤦♀️. Went back in, got my burger, mourned the wasted 45 minutes of my life and here we are. During this visit I also witnessed another lady receive the wrong order and an elderly man wait almost 30 minutes for a shake. Do not go here. Save your sanity.

Burger is Juicy and Rootbeer was good. All that you should expect from a quality A&W stop. Facilities were clean and staff were accommodating.
