Definitely a small iowa town restaurant. Our server, was the only one working, so also our cook and cashier, which made the meal seem a little slow. However, that breaded pork tenderloin, well worth the wait. I would place that massive sandwich in top five of tenderloins I've ever had; it was moist, crispy, fresh, hot and juicy all at the same time. While thin, it was left thick enough that you could actually get some of the juices and flavor from the pork, not just humongous...
Traveled to the Rome Iowa Lunchbox today. We traveled just over an hour and just for the Tenderloins. 3 of us had the half Hot Tenderloin with potatoes and gravy. 2 had the sandwich. All 5 of us were very happy with our selections. Everything was delicious. The tenderloins were seasoned well and very tasty. Definitely worth the drive.
I am looking foward to my leftovers. ?
In the future when traveling though the area we will be stopping by again.

Catfish was excellent and so was the Salisbury steak!! The price of 15.99 was high for the very limited selection on the buffet. There is no atmosphere but bring your family or friends and you create your own! :)
