Stopped for a quick bite on our way to an event. The staff was quick and kind. Service was prompt! And the steak fajita nachos were one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!

Special of the day, chicken tenders was huge but way over done. Hardly edible. Paid extra for onion rings which were good.

If I could leave no stars I would. My BLT took an hour and 45mins. Our server had no idea whose food belonged to who. She was bringing boxes not even 30 seconds after the final meal was delivered. Locals told us this was the place to eat, highly disappointed, and honestly angry.
Amazing service and very good food. Nice selection of beers as well.
My $12 salad was worth every penny!! Huge!

I had rented the room above the restaurant for my daughters' graduation. I have rented this room before in the past for a birthday party - thought it was amazing with having a waiter and drink/bar tender, so we didn't have to go downstairs for much.
They said they would call the beginning of May to discuss catering options. I had to call a few times at a few different times to finally get in touch with someone about catering, which was the week before the event. It was fine, we got it figured out. Would have been nice to talk to someone at the beginning of the month to digest the price of what it was.
So, when I booked this room again, I thought that we would have the same service. I was hoping to not have to do much other than greeting people that came to congratulate the grad, I was looking for an easy evening since I had recently lost both my parents, I wanted simple. Not really what happened. I was informed for all drinks we would have to go downstairs, (which is fine) but when I ordered the pitchers of pop, it took roughly 30 minutes to receive. I ordered a nacho bar (which I feel like overpriced to have to pay per person, for a catering option) I had to multiple times go to the kitchen and ask for refill on chips or silverware. The drinks were never refilled; I had to leave the party to go ask for refills on those. I didn't really see a waiter come up once unless I went downstairs to find someone or ask someone in the kitchen for something. When I asked to have drinks refill again - I also asked for nachos for at least 20 more people, they said it would take about 20 minutes to get that up to us - I think it was about 35 minutes. Only got meat. Asked for refill for the chips they said they would bring them up soon, never received a refill on chips before we had left, so there was so much meat and cheese left over, because people had tired of waiting for chips. I had to pay an 18% automatic gratuity, when paying an additional tip was asked for.
I feel like if an establishment is going to offer a certain service - catering - then there should at least be a person with that party to help keep an eye on things. I didn't really enjoy myself at all, I didn't eat any of the food since we had to keep asking for refill on things, I wanted to make sure the guest had enough to eat. If there would have been waiter, bartender/drink person staffed with us just two people, I can assure they probably would have made bank on tips alone just being up there serving. Thankfully we had plenty of dessert - that we brought in, people had enough dessert to go around.
Probably the last time we will be going there for anything. Which is sad since there isn't much diversity in food in Muscatine.
The room upstairs is a decent size for holding a party like graduation or birthday, which is nice, other than that the room could use a bit of a touch up - a bit outdated looking, 90's drinking cup carpet on the wall in the back. Bathrooms upstairs, no doors on the stalls in the women's, bucket under the urinal in the men's rooms. Guess there is a leak, one guy said it's been a few years since he had been up there and said it was there then too.
I paid the whole bill (which could help towards some updates upstairs, for what I paid for room and food once all said and done), I once wasn't rude at all, very unimpressed with the lack of service.

Great drinks and a nice location. A fun vibe as well. We had a great server - attentive but not overbearing. I had the strawberry salad and it was delicious. My cider was delicious.
Last night was the first time I've ever been disappointed at Boonie's . Our table had 2 Ribeye orders and a grilled chicken sandwich with a few appatizers(cheese curds and popcorn chicken, both were excellent). The ribeyes were very bland and extremely tough and the side of Mac was literally cold. Service was great as always! Wish we had just gone with burgers for 1/3 of the price.
We can in around 5pm. Very busy so we expected a wait. After an hour we were informed that our ticket had been lost. After ordering again and waiting another roughly 30 min our food came. The order was missing items but they did correct this. The food was fine but my sandwich bread was falling apart and dry along with having a cool temperature Philly filling, I would expect After 90 to have warm food all around. Nothing come compensated for this long wait. I personally will never go back. I work in the industry and get being slammed but a lost ticket and then no comp on anything is not right. I asked that the manager comp what they thought was correct for the inconvenience. They picked nothing. This speaks to their customer service.
