The brunch menu had a reasonable number of choices, without being overwhelming. Our food was excellent, and the cheesecake was outstanding. The homemade sangria was a nice touch. The service was also excellent; friendly, attentive and with good timing. It was nice to be able to sit and look out over the river too. The restaurant is attached to the main hotel lobby, but the ambience is nice and you can carry on a conversation without difficulty. Definitely one of the standouts...
Never again! We've been to Maxwell's several times and were very pleased. Last night was the last time. Our server was slow and inattentive. even though she was not busy (she was standing at bar). We were seated and given drink list and sat for 10 minutes before she came for our order. Repeated requests for table service, salt and pepper. Beautiful decor (especially with the Christmas decorations). Seated immediately - we had reserved a table for an early dinner and were the only guests at that time. Waiter was very personable and helpful regarding menu items. We ordered 2 drinks and were very disappointed: Not a lot of bang for your bucks, so to speak. Way too pricey for what we received.
