Extremely happy with dinner! Filet was on cooked perfect, family-style sides were great as well. I had the short rib Barria, a special, and the meat and sauce were incredible. Great quality and taste. Great presentation as well. We were staying on site at the hotel so had breakfast as well and all of that was 100% also, especially corn beef hash. Would highly recommend
Maxwell's on the River is a great place to meet friends for lunch. The river view is beautiful and the interior decor is elegant. I had the Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp. It was delicious. Others loved the Brussels sprouts, fish tacos, etc. This is my favorite restaurant in Muscatine.
The shrimp scampi had the tails left on. Does this annoy anyone else when a restaurant does this to shrimp that isn't intended to be eaten with your hands like shrimp cocktail?
