Sal Vitale's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

The breads and pizzas look like they're allergic to fully cooking things. Salt and seasoning was missing from the dishes I tried. Watery and tasteless. Server recommended the more expensive dish just because it was more expensive, I should have not trusted it. The chicken marsala was woody and tough, and the mushrooms somehow did very little to add to the flavor. Cash only? Definitely get a vibe of not paying taxes, which would be interesting if this place had any taste.

Best place to eat at , I love Sal vitale , the food , the ambient, the music and the employees treat you like family , especially that one son from Palermo Pietro Vitale . I recommend this restaurant to anyone from Muscatine or out of town . Family Oriented and everything.

Ate here with friends August 22. Got seated quickly. Service was excellent. We all enjoyed the food. I had lasagna which was very good. The salad that came with it was good, while the breadsticks were outstanding. The entire staff was very friendly. This restaurant takes cash only - no credit cards - but that is made very clear via signs at each table and is clearly stated on the entry door. There is an ATM there.

What a pleasant surprise! We were just driving through and found Sal's on Google Restaurants. Such a blessing it was to stop and have a fabulous meal and meet Sal and his wonderful staff. The Linguine Shrimp Scampi was SUPERB!!! We have found a gem, Thank you!! 💕
