We love Salvatore's and have gone there for more than 20 years. It is perfect for a quick night of pizza or a classy date. I love their Sausage Pizza. The kids love their Cheese Pizza.
Kid-friendliness: It is a great family atmosphere. Often kids are there with families enjoying a special birthday for a relative or a classier eating out experience.

A family favorite where the food is always wonderful. But even more, the staff treat us so warmly and graciously.
Kid-friendliness: They share dough with kids to play with while the food cooks. Our child is too young for that, but loves cheese. Out came a little bowl of cheese just for her to snack on!

Tiny little Italian place in downtown Muscatine. Close to the river. AC was struggling. But it was one of the hottest days of the year. House salad is just iceberg lettuce and a small dash of cheese with whatever dressing you want. Salads took really long time to come out. Then the entrees came out almost immediately following.
Seafood Estella was good. Was supposed to be linguini but was fettuccine pasta. Which didn’t really bother me but thought I’d mention it. The shrimp in the dish is made perfectly and we’re big. The shredded imitation crab was ok. I’d prefer that in chunks.
Table mates got the baked ziti. They said it was good. And a good size portion for them.
This place is very small. Please take that into account. Felt very New York City like. But might be claustrophobic for some. The table fit four but it was tight. And the tables are close together.
Prices are fair.
Oh and they brought three rolls for a table of four. Just odd.
Parking: Free 2 hour parking on street. Not sure where you’d pay for more parking. We went on a Monday so it was a very empty downtown. Plenty of street parking that night. Not sure what it’s like on weekends.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very tight table configuration. Wheel chair would be hard here.

It’s a real head scratcher. You may not think Muscatine, IA when asked “best Italian food?” But here we are! Such good food at such great prices! Word to the wise tho, when they say “spicy,” they do mean spicy. Caution: I do not recommend trying to impress the hip Italian proprietor with your flame resistant taste buds. They can go spicier!

I've been there 3 times (I'm not a local) and every dish I've had has been DELICIOUS. The service has always been timely, knowledgeable, and friendly. This is definitely the best Italian restaurant in town!

A truly delicious Italian experience. The Seafood Estella was great and has no comparison. The spaghetti had a rich and developed meat sauce. Reno's Famous Ribeye is Famous for a reason. A beautiful cut of meat. My daughter said the Alfredo was the best she's had in her life. The Italian Cream cake was art. The perfect amount of lemon reminded me of sipping a limoncello.
