I’ve been here a few times, haven’t really had many problems. Haven’t been mistreated by staff, but they’re very quiet and unenthusiastic about what they do. The food portions are also much smaller than what makes sense for their asking price. If you want more food for your buck, I’d recommend going elsewhere.
The food *is* good when it’s done right, but it’s really nothing special for how much they’re asking for.

This is the worst tenderloin I've ever had. Ask for another sandwich and cook was rude and kept saying it was cooked to temp. She either needs to learn how to read thermometer or grease was burnt. Very ride no help what so ever. Stay away service has gone to the dump. Right now I can't recommend anything it was that bad

Every interaction I have with anyone working there makes me feel miserable. Everyone is rude and can’t be bothered to actually treat their customers like….well, customers. Food is hit or miss, and it takes forever to actually get it. I’ve stopped going to Short Stop and have started recommending people stay away, it’s just too bad it’s only of the only places to eat in New London.Note: I called ahead to place in order and asked how much my total would be. They told me they can’t tell me the total over the phone, that they were too busy to keep talking to me, and to look online for prices and come in to order. Showed up and there was no one there, and the prices were double what they were listed online.

I was going to split a large milkshake with one of my family members, I ordered it and paid for it. When they gave it to me I asked for an extra small cup with a lid and a straw the lady rolled her eyes at me and said fine in a very rude way. She looked at her other co-workers and rolled her eyes again, she gave me a bad look as she gave me the cup, she rudely said to me that I had to tell them beforehand because I had to pay. Very rude. The older lady who works here was very rude too. They have great food but not so great customer service.

Kid-friendliness: Our grandchildren love coming to Short Stop!It has become a family tradition.Our one grandson loves their cheeseballs!All of them love the ice cream treats!Our granddaughter loves their cheeseburger & fries.They love sitting out in the swing or at the patio tables, besides loving to sit in the coziness of the dining area inside.They loved the pretty plants and the hand pump that use to automatically dump water into a little bucket. They miss that a lot as it has not been working.
