I don't know how we haven't posted a review yet. We order takeout from this fabulous place at least once a month as we have for the past roughly 2 years. There hasn't been a singular dish that I didn't like. The lady that takes the order over the phone is always nice, assuming the same lady that my husband picks up from since he always goes inside and he never has a complaint. Nothing but good things to say on food and service. Thank you for making the absolute best Chinese food we have ever had consistently, every single time!

Good food, but I wish the fried rice had a bit more flavor. The egg rolls taste very fishy. I think they need more veggies in them. They also got a lot smaller.

Good customer service but the food taste like old cooking oil. The lo mein was so chewy and smelt/tasted of old cooking oil. The worst part is the beef fried rice it had this sickening oil slash garbage taste we wasted the whole container after a couple of bites. It sure would be nice if Newton would get a good Chinese restaurant so I didn’t have to drive to Des Moines for Chinese.

Nice Chinese food with limited seating. Most likely, you would do a carryout order. If you haven't been to China King in a while, you need to visit. New owners have refreshed the interior and menu. They now accept DEBT & CREDIT cards! No cash in your pocket, no worry now at China King! Call or Drop by and pick up a Freshly made meal. YES, you can watch them make your food.

Sadly temperature and flavor has declined significantly…and we waited for our to go order—I’d expect hot and fresh! This has been a go-to for 15 years…not sure I’ll go back anytime soon.

This has always been my favorite Chinese place but the last few times we’ve had it the food is not as good as it used to be almost bland if you will. I know they’ve changed who runs it and they will find their footing but the food has gone down hill unfortunately hopefully they get it back to the way it used to be.

Cash only. Don't go there for a decadent experience. Peoples Working environment. Interior well lighted, seating is solid clean, not boards. We always get the "bean curd" dishes. Soft fried hot squishy with vegetables what a treat.
Vegetarian options: Most. No meat eaters insist on separate cooking surfaces, I can't speak to that.

Worst Chinese food I've had in my life. Taste is extremely off. Almost like trash. Only ate rangoons all of our other entrees we ended up throwing away. The best thing about the place was their child who took my order.

It’s really apparent that this place has changed hands. Used to be so good. Probably not ordering from here anymore. Way too much sugar, flavors are not up to par. So sad that this place that I enjoyed so much has become another Newton has been.
