I loved this place for years and years. The new owners have raised prices significantly while at the same time the quality isn’t as good as the previous owners. Fried rice has less veggies and is bland now. Sesame chicken and beef and broccoli are more bland. Egg rolls aren’t the same. It’s really unfortunate. It’s not bad but it’s just not nearly as good as it once was. I loved this place. I raved about this place to people.. but I can’t now.

China King has always been great fresh food, even when they only accepted cash it was worth the stop at the ATM beforehand. Now that they take cards it makes it so much easier to stop and grab some top quality Chinese food at China King.

UPDATE - I went back tonight, and ordered the vegetable lo mein again. It was delicious!! The noodles were and vegetables were perfectly cooked. I ordered vegetable lo mien. The noodles were chewy, and very starchy. I would not order this again.

One of my Wife and I's favorite Chinese places in general. The food is always great and the customer service has been top notch since the new owners have taken over. When I came in tonight there was another customer who was being a total jerk to the cashier and she handled it very well!

Always order take out quick yummy place if you want quick fried rice, I recommend the shrimp or pork as they do use the mystery white chicken at times that you look at and taste and ? what kind of chicken it is. Shrimp fried rice is awesome and super fast. Inexpensive, speedy, and tasty.

I don't know how we haven't posted a review yet. We order takeout from this fabulous place at least once a month as we have for the past roughly 2 years. There hasn't been a singular dish that I didn't like. The lady that takes the order over the phone is always nice, assuming the same lady that my husband picks up from since he always goes inside and he never has a complaint. Nothing but good things to say on food and service. Thank you for making the absolute best Chinese food we have ever had consistently, every single time!

Good customer service but the food taste like old cooking oil. The lo mein was so chewy and smelt/tasted of old cooking oil. The worst part is the beef fried rice it had this sickening oil slash garbage taste we wasted the whole container after a couple of bites. It sure would be nice if Newton would get a good Chinese restaurant so I didn’t have to drive to Des Moines for Chinese.
Nice Chinese food with limited seating. Most likely, you would do a carryout order. If you haven't been to China King in a while, you need to visit. New owners have refreshed the interior and menu. They now accept DEBT & CREDIT cards! No cash in your pocket, no worry now at China King! Call or Drop by and pick up a Freshly made meal. YES, you can watch them make your food.
