The food was decent. The service was slower, but the food arrived fairly quickly and the waitress was nice. The catfish had a nice crunch. The burger was good and seemed to be hand pattied. The chicken tenders were actual pieces of chicken. Those could have been seasoned better. The ranch was good.
Like everywhere else, this place was definitely overpriced. The food taste does not match the price.

I had the worst Steak, id ever had at this place. I ordered the 6oz lunch Ribeye for 15 dollars. It was to be cooked medium rare. It was tough, about 1/2- 1/4 an inch thick, and well done. Will not come back.

My husband was so excited for the tenderloin sandwich. He wanted it without a bun. Our plates came, his must have sat over the frier in the basket for quite awhile! His tenderloin, was swimming in grease, I mean I've NEVER seen it like this... he patted it with 3 napkins, wiped his plate off from the running grease. So we called our waitress over, after trying to make it better, but the breading was SO salty, no one could eat that, an we both have had them before, an NEVER were they like THIS! So we talked to our waitress, then manager.. they gave all kinds of excuses, an then credited his meal. I thanked them for that. It truly was awful! It had never been like that before! I've always enjoyed dining at Montans Mike's. On Sunday, 9-28-25, my wife of 2 weeks and I went to Montana Mike's. Things started off normal and pleasant, ordered our meal and waiting for it. Then the person that, I assume, is in charge of the dining area. My wife knows who this guy is, I don't. He came over and was talking with her, he never acknowledged that I was even there. Then, as my wife was sitting in the booth, he leaned down and gave her a hug. When he left, I told my wife that I didn't know they knew each other like that and she said they don't. It took her by surprise and she wasn't ok with it. Our food was taking a very long time. When we got it, we found out why. They were waiting on baked potatoes to get done and they failed. The bakes were too hard for me to eat. The waitress never came back to check on us at all. I hade to get my own to go box. Had to stand at the register a bit till someone could check us out. This visit to Montana Mike's was our last, very disappointing in several ways.

We stopped after about a 8 hour drive..was about 815 when we came in..we ordered steaks 1 medium 1 rare 1 salmon and 1 filaminion ..our order was all messed up..steaks were wrong we didnt get potatoes right..they tell us after me taking my food they were out of sweet potatoes..my friend was told she could get a side of alfredo with her steak..then was told after she gets her food there was a mistake and if she wanted alfredo she had to pay 6 not 2 as she was quoted...we fwlt very rushed and they might be reason our food was so horrible..sad thing is waitress had to deal with all the mistakes kitchen made and she tried to make it right...so hats off to her! Our group however will not recommend to anyone comming theough...

We don’t usually eat out when we visit Newton and were very surprised by this restaurant. The service and atmosphere was amazing. The food was so good. Our waitress Cassie was the best and great with the kids. It reminds us of Texas Roadhouse but a thousand times better. We will definitely eat here again the next time we are in town.
