It was typical bar & grill food,however the Boji fries are amazing (we had a burger and a club). Service was on the slower side for how empty the place was but it didn't bother us as we were passing through. We may stop again seeing how Des Moines no longer has a location.

Immediately post COVID this place was a shambles. Terrible service, inconsistent food when ordering the same dish on different visits.But more recently they've seemed to settle in. You can count on what to expect again. Above average grub and above average staffing.I can't yet upgrade their status another star, but I'll certainly go back. If they continue to remain consistent I'll bump them up.

Was very good. When we got there, we were told they had new staff and were still training. But everything was good and I would not have guessed anyone we delt with was new. Totally recommend.

My boyfriend and I just left this place so HUNGRY! Waited 45 MINUTES & THEY Haven't EVEN STARTED COOKING OUR ORDER SO WE LEFT WITHOUT EATING. No one told us it was going to take forever or offered us free drinks for our wait, no they told us to go ahead and leave if we didn't want to wait anymore. Don't let these clowns waste your time. The food, if it ever arrives, is no better than Perkins.

My Special Ladyfriend and I stopped here for dinner tonight after a long work week. While a table was not available when we arrived, we didn't have to wait very long.We have been here many times before, so we knew what to expect. We were not disappointed, the food was as good as we rembered.Our server was good and made sure to see if we needed anything.Ultimately, it was exactly how we remembered and we would not hesitate to come back.

We stopped in for a late lunch. My husband had their cashew chicken wrap, cottage cheese, and cherry pepsi, and I had their 3 cheeseburger sliders with french fries and an iced tea. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was very comfortable in the bar setting. We will definitely return again at a later date!

Okoboji is a go-to for my family! The food is good American cooking. Portions are generous. Half portions are available on pasta dishes. Let them know if you need customization of the sandwich or entree. Booths on the bar side have small TVs to let you not miss your program as you eat. Some nights service is slower, depending upon staffing. This seems pretty common post Covid!
Vegetarian options: Large selection of good vegetables for sides. Garlic mashed are great!
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and some days kids eat free w adult meal.
This is a great place for a comfortable meal. Low key and relaxing atmosphere. They even have a private room for large groups. Very friendly service. They also have a separate room with a bar and TVs. Love the Boji Fries.

If you want your food cooked in the microwave and your sampler platter brought out with a spinach artichoke dip in a plastic cup that's melted from the microwave then this is your place but I prefer to eat at places that avoid the microwave when you're spending all over $100 for four people to eat. Only go here if you want to lose weight by explosive diarrhea
