Had a bug in my food. Told a worker and he hurriedly smashed it between his fingers and claimed it was spices. I don't know what spice has legs like that.
Edit: manager/owner responded on my GF's post about the same issue and he lied once more. Photos dont lie. That is a cockroach. That was in my food who are you kidding. I took the rest of the food and looked through it before throwing it away and that's why I took the food with me. Since you destroyed the one I had found. Don't worry I'm calling the health department.

This is my place to go when im craving mexican food. the food is amazing, and they have the best malgaritas in town, place is clean and pleasent to eat at. always like trying new food since their menu is phenomenal. Best food in town for sure. thank you Sombrero for the good service and making my family welcome everytime we come eat.
Unfortunately this restaurant has gone downhill. The staff seem careless and kind of rude. The restaurant itself just feels dirty and under kept. The food is still pretty good but our latest trip we had a bug in our food. (The two previous times which were spaced apart quite a bit also involved bugs, but in the drinks those times) Truly saddened by this because it was my favorite Mexican restaurant in Newton, can’t say the same now.
