Go here for breakfast and the pickle bloodies! A friend recommended we stop here while visiting Okoboji, and it was absolutely worth it. Tucked away in a cozy neighborhood by the lake, the place feels like a welcoming home, with big windows letting in tons of natural light.
I ordered the pickle Bloody Mary—it was delicious! My husband had the half order of the Hangover, and I went with the Boji Browns, topped with an over-easy egg and hollandaise on the side. We were both completely stuffed because the food was just that good—we couldn’t stop eating!
Highly recommend for a tasty, relaxing breakfast spot in the area.

This place is an Okoboji classic, I can’t tell you the number of experiences we’ve had over 32 years eating here.
A couple of notes of interest for you;
1. We are allowed to buy pie before 11am now (wahoo)
2.O’farrell sisters granddaughter bakes the pies (she’s lovely)
3. New owner and staff are amazing

Genuinely the worst service i have ever had in my entire life. We waited over an hour for our food, we weren’t checked on once and then after an hour our food came out wrong!!!!! We got there at 9:30, didn’t get our food til 11pm and food was not good. Manager is EXTREMELY RUDE. I feel bad for waitresses bc i’m sure it wasn’t their fault. there are clearly flaws in their system. Do not go here if you are hungry or have things to do that morning!😬

Highly recommend this place! It has been around forever, and is still super popular.
Our waitress immediately asked us if we wanted the air conditioner vents covered, as it can be quite chilly where they are located, so she did that for us.
I had cinnamon roll french toast. It was delicious. My friend enjoyed her simpler breakfast of eggs, sausage and toast, with coffee. The waitress was extremely attentive, even with all the tables filled. She filled my water bottle for me. Our food came in a very timely manner.
It is not large, but it was fun and enjoyable to be in.

Worst breakfast and service we've had in a long time. We've been there before and it's always been great, not this time. We've been there the last 4 years, I don't think we'll be back. F for the service, D+ for the food. There were 8 of us, one sent their food back, 6 of us the food was cold and one said theirs was fine. Couldn't hardly cut the pancake and the butter wouldn't even melt. She never came around to ask if we needed more coffee and when we went to the counter she said she was making some and she wasn't because we could see everything. Finally a different server made some coffee.
We were a party of 3. We came in 9:30Am and food was served at 10:30Am ish. Not good service. 1 hr wait was too much. Hope they do something about it like renovating their kitchen so that theyll have more space inside to do the cooking. But definitely not coming back and will not recommend to friends.
