Outrigger Restaurant & Lounge

The Outrigger is a charming, older establishment with a nostalgic vibe, featuring limited seating. Its walls are adorned with pictures showcasing Okoboji through the years, adding to its cozy and historical atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing, and the accommodating staff made our evening even better. While the wait for seating can be a downside, and the phone seems to ring constantly, the quality of the food makes it well worth the wait. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

Food and service were both amazing. Baked potatoe is a must. Steaks from Kraftys, pork, and Steak pasta were all great choices. Service was very good. I recommend you make a reservation.

This was such a nice dinner. My husband and I ate here with 3 teenage daughters and everybody had such a nice time. The spinach artichoke dip was a huge hit and the girls LOVED the fettuccine alfredo. Were so excited to have a new favorite dinner spot when we're in Okoboji. Thanks for such a nice time!

Kid-friendliness: Being a nicer restaurant, there were a lot of older people, but we did not at all feel out of place with teenagers. There were also families with little kids eating there and it was really just a cool vibe for everyone.

Omg, I have no idea how this place couldn’t be solid 5 star. We usually come to Okoboji a couple weekends during the summer and I’m amazed we didn’t know this restaurant existed. From phone answering to the waitress, the staff was super pro and very well trained and genuinely kind. You can tell they take great pride in the guest experience. The food was absolutely amazing. The spinach artichoke dip was unreal…those pita chips were just amazing. The ranch was the best ranch we’ve ever had. AWESOME steaks, fantastic meal, perfect experience. 5-Star+. What a class act…we’ll be back every summer!

Super disappointed with the customer service here. We were told they don’t take reservations for parties over 5 and it was walk in and called a week in advance. Get there at 445pm yesterday and they said “we are booked with reservations all night until 830, sorry.” We told her we specifically asked and this was a birthday celebration. She clearly didn’t care as she said “oh you must have talked to Justin (which wasn’t the case since we talked to a female. We said “we were given the wrong information.” She said “oh well, that can happen. “ Super rude and unprofessional and we will not be returning. Who treats guests that way? Not even a sincere apology or any effort to try to make it work. Do not recommend.

We can always count on Outrigger for great service and delicious food. Reservations recommended!!

Great food, pleasant & hard working staff. Visiting area, had no idea they weren't open most days.... up until Memorial weekend. Call before 3pm for reservations. Staff gave us expected wait time. Small bar area, but could get a drink & wait in pleasant entryway. Asparagus was thick, no flavor & tough.

Enjoyable experience. Friendly and timely service. Food was tasty and cooked appropriately with good flavor. Supper club feel with Sinatra playing in the background that accomodated enjoyable easy to hear conversation among our table.
