I was on the lookout for a local type cafe / diner on my marathon drive and spotted Frannies on a road sign so I took the exit… a bit of a gamble as I was towing a trailer. Easy to find in town and plenty of parking options, I could have parked a big rig close by. Service was on point, as was the food. A bit of controversy as one set of locals was sat at the other set of locals regular table, but pleasantries were exchanged and all agreed one seat over wasn’t a big deal. I love places like this and was trying to avoid chains this entire trip, so I’m glad I spotted the sign! This is such a wonderful country to roadtrip across and local food is always local community, and that my friends is what always made America great.

First, we were greeted by a friendly high schooler that was very pleasant. We were seated quickly and drinks came out quickly. The food was delicious- we each had a skillet and was very happy with the taste and the amount of food. I would encourage anyone traveling through to make the stop to check out this small town diner.

Without a doubt Frannie's Cafe is awesome great food great service friendly people good atmosphere and very fast. Talk about affordable their food was affordable take a drive going out and have a good time and eat there.

Best breakfast I've had in a long time! Great eggs, perfect hash browns, delicious sausage patties. The pancakes were HUGE and FANTASTIC! The cafe was clean with a charming atmosphere and attentive service.
Scrambled eggs from a box, flat with no seasoning.. greasy toast. Hash browns severely overcooked and unable to chew.

We stopped here for noon lunch on our way from Omaha back home to Minnesota. The food was excellent and the staff we interacted with were great. Overall, we would 100% recommend and stop again.

Do yourself a favor and drive the few miles off I-29 (their direct bridge is closed right now, so a couple more country roads) and have a blueberry pancake the same of your plate!! Very nicely decorated too!! It was very clean and I’m glad we stopped!!

Had a bad meal. Ate half a hot beef, then bit into something rancid. Asked them to take it back for something different. Got charged for half the hot beef, even though something wasn't right.

We visited Frannie’s and found a delightful experience. Friendly service, great fresh food prepared from scratch, and super clean. I had the breakfast sandwich which is really a much better version of an egg McMuffin. My husband said it’s what they were like in the 60’s and 70’s. Really tasty and prefect in every way. I added some superb hash browns and I have to say I absolutely love hash browns and I think these are the best I’ve had in years! Hubby had the pork tenderloin sandwich that was the special of the day and it was really good also. And he decided he had to try their pancakes and ordered one and it was HUGE and they served real maple syrup. Really tasty and we were so full we just couldn’t finish it. They also have excellent coffee. We shall be back every time we’re in the area.
