The staff here is following covid protocols pretty well. I tried to order the ribs and they were out of stock --- In Iowa? The replacement steak was pretty good. Service was excellent but the margarita was a little weak.
We had the Atlantic Salmon and my pal ordered the Ribeye. The waitress was so cute. She knew the line between sassy, conversational, advice on the menu and she was very friendly and fun. Kudos to the cook and menu and the atmosphere of casual fine dining. We enjoyed a bottle of home grown Iowa wine with the meal and never felt rushed as we had a long relaxing meal. Thank you Peppertree. - we will be back
Last 2-3 times my family has been there for a meal, the waitress' were not very attentive, acted like it was a pain in the butt to take our order but we had to ask for more water, tea or coffee every time, never offered a refill. Ask for steak sauce, crackers for soup, well food was about gone by the time they came back. Yet they dang sure expect a tip at the end of the evening. Bad Service you get tipped according to how you treat me.
