Dude cooks a good burger. Swung in one day when on the road working. Was not disappointed. Felt pretty damn close to home

Voted the best burger in Iowa a few years ago, but it's nothing special. Can make just as good of a burger at home if not better. We've eaten here 3 times, and after listening to the owner complain about having to cook for us and how she'd been on her feet all day long EVERY time we've visited, we won't be back. The last time we were there, she was changing the light-up sign on the wall. I know she heard us come in, but it took one of the customers at the bar telling her we were there for her to finally come wait on us. I don't appreciate being made to feel guilty for choosing to do business with someone, and shouldn't have even given this place more business after the first time we went. Close the kitchen if you don't want to cook.

I was looking forward to trying the food and having a good burger. You think of the "Great Bambino" when you see the name but this place is a joke and an insult to the Babe. Looks like if your not a local the owner doesn't have time for you. Looked me over like he was deciding if he wanted to serve me. Rude. Looked as if he wanted to say what do you want couldnt be bothered to even greet me. I asked you serving food today and he paused then says "yeah". I waited a moment then asked him you wanna get me a menu? He stood over me at the filthy bar while I looked through the 4 or 5 options the menu contains besides appetizers and I thought this is a joke right? Finally he walked away and at that point I simply decided I wasn't sticking around to see what this dump had to offer. Sweep your floors once in awhile your clearly not to busy...

Great quaint family owned restaurant known for their hamburgers. But there home cooked specials are great too.

Best burger I've had in ages. Then add in the friendly owners and small town atmosphere, you have winner. Ask about the children's book, frosting on the cake.

First time at bambino’s today. Service by Sue and her grandson Ray was excellent as well as the food was also. We had bino burger and homemade creamed chicken over biscuits. Highly recommend the drive to Ossian and give them a try. Very clean and my wife said the bathrooms were also spotless. Great first experience. Will be going back.

The bambino burger was great! The cheese curds were also great. We were there in the late afternoon (3 o'clock ish). Some old boys were shooting pool, the atmosphere was straight northeast Iowa like you would expect. It was definitely worth the 1 hour 20 min drive.

We came for the burger but the friendly people and service were the best part. We even had the owner tell us about her RUFORD book. Fun time and we will tell our friends to visit.

We drove almost an hour to try out the burgers. We arrived at 7:30 pm with a party of seven. We asked the owner about eating there and his response was, “I’ll pass on cooking for you”.Needless to say, we will never return.

Delicious burgers. And the owner (Sue) is awesome and took the time to sit down with us and talk. Very impressed. Worth the 70+ mile drive from La Crosse. We will be back!
