My wife and I both ordered a taco salad and there was perhaps a tablespoon of ground beef in it a Very little bit of sour cream, and Guacamole. And nothing much else but lettuce. What little ground beef there was was buried underneath all the lettuce, We were fortunate to find it.
Street tacos meal was good. Charo beans a little salty. Sauteed onions still have a crunch, great. Fried jalapeno good. Nice to have a choice between corn and flour tortillas, prefer flour.
Los Altos is always a good bet. The food is typical Mexican fare. They do a good job with it. The food is hot and portions good sized. Service is generally good. As a smaller restaurant they can occasionally get overwhelmed, but as long as you’re patient, this isn’t a problem. Prices are fair and what I would expect ($30 after tip without drinks for two) at any other place like this.
