Had a wonderful dinner at the Port this evening. I regret I hadn’t made it over for dinner this summer before tonight. The food was delicious. The steak on my steak sandwich was perfectly cooked. Not overdone like most. The staff were very friendly and attentive. And obviously the view is difficult to beat at sunset We will be back soon.
It was an underwhelming breakfast overall. Limited menu. Orange juice was substandard - it tasted like it was made from a concentrate tube. It is difficult to be impressed when you pay $6+ for a 1/2 order of French Toast that consists of a single piece of cheap bread cut in half. The hostess and server were very nice, but the lackluster breakfast will not bring us back for the more expensive dinner. When people are paying $150-$250 a night for a room, they probably have an expectation...
My first visit to The Port restaurant was amazing!!!The food was generous, very tasty, reasonably priced, and a wonderful view of the lake!I had the fried chicken special, very light crispy batter, with a lot of flavor!The crab cakes appetizers were beyond perfect! The sauce for them was so good you could put it on any thing!! A rusty car with that sauce, would taste great.The service was friendly, impressive, and very prompt!I would very highly recommend treating yourself to...
