“The food we ordered was good. The coffee had no taste - it was like drinking colored water. The aroma and taste were like tea but the color was darker. I asked a server if there had been a mistake and it either was tea or the coffee hadn't brewed correctly. I was assured it was coffee and they had recently purchased a different brand. I can't think I was the first one to bring this to their attention. Alot of coffee is consumed in this town with Dutch heritage. When we left I had to go to another establishment to get a cup of good coffee. And Culver's coffee isn't cheap.”

They have monthly specials that are featured on the little board by the register.

I ordered the Italian Grinder. It's really good, but they need to add banana peppers to it and it would be perfect!

Food was decent, might have been our choices as other dishes seen looked good. my negative review is based on the fact that I handed the waitress the folder with the ticket and my card. 10 mins passed and she didn't come back. I watched her take other orders etc. When I asked her for my card- " what, you don't have it?" over 10 mins later her and 3 others also could not locate it. It was finally found after they asked me several more time if I was sure I didn't have it. *edit they did reach out a few hours later and adjusted my bill*”

“Old school Dutch bakery attached to a souvenir shop. We tried the s letter cookies, stroopwaffles, goat legs, and cinnamon rolls. They were pretty good and the staff was kind and quick.”

“I live in DSM but it's worth the drive to Pella to get these goodies. The cookie cake is my favorite bc of the frosting. It's not super sweet to where you can't eat it all. I tried their cupcakes finally also recently, and they're so good too. It's a good thing they're in Pella and I'm in DSM but I do wish I could eat here more often. Lol”

“The ladies in here are always so cheerful and helpful! They can make almost any of their drinks iced, it's a great place to get a COLD drink on these hot summer days. I also like that their drinks don't seem guite so sweet and syrupy as some places I've been but if you want more syrup, they'll bump it up!”

“Today I looked online to decide where to have lunch. I was so excited to see the Chicken Pecan and grape salad sandwiches were back! I begged my husband to skip the usual and go to Arbys since I have not had that sandwich for at least a couple years! We got to Pella and went in only to find out they did not have my favorite sandwich. My husband was ready to walk out when I pointed out the Reuben Sandwich. I must say that in spite of my disappointment, the lady at the register was super nice and offered excellent service. I do not know her name but she turned a one star visit into a 4 star. (The advertised sandwich would have made it a 5 star) Service was great, food was good and it was a pleasant clean atmosphere. update: I just found our receipt and see the employee name is Cynthia. “🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5-Star Subway Experience!

I walked into this Subway thinking, "Just a sandwich," but what I got was a culinary journey of epic proportions. Josue and Trsyten weren’t just sandwich artists, they were architects of flavor, sculptors of satisfaction, and all around legends of the lunch line.

Josue greeted me with the kind of enthusiasm that can only come from someone who genuinely loves bread and a good sub. His moves were swift and confident, like a ninja with a turkey slicer. Meanwhile, Trsyten was meticulously layering the veggies like they were creating a masterpiece for the Louvre. Who knew cucumbers could look so elegant?

They even cracked a few jokes while toasting my sub, which was the perfect blend of crispy and warm just like their personalities! Trsyten even remembered my love for extra pickles without me having to ask. Now that’s the kind of VIP treatment that’ll keep me coming back!

If every Subway experience was like this, I’d happily eat my weight in footlongs every week. Kudos to Josue and Trsyten for making lunch the highlight of my day! 👏👏”

“We had an absolutely amazing experience at Yamato Steakhouse. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were treated with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel like valued guests. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that not only the adults but also the children in our group felt comfortable and welcome. The food—absolutely phenomenal! The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The shrimp was equally impressive. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and beautifully presented. “Ordered a Grande size drink expecting it to be a large drink considering Grande is BIG or LARGE. When the barista handed me the drink through the window I thought they had given me the wrong size!! Like what is this?? I literally said “THIS is a GRANDE?? This is literally the smallest big cup I have ever seen.” I finished it before I made it to the on-ramp to get on 163 east. WOW. Turns out, Grande is the next size up from their smallest size which you’ll never guess the name of the smallest….its “TALL” wtf?????? I’m sure it’s not weird to the people who are familiar to this coffee shop, but I am not and I will never be able to wrap my head around these sizes. It’s just sooooo dumb!!!! lol the drink was alright but not amazing. The service was friendly and fairly quick considering they just opened. I would maybe go back sometime but I’m not in a huge hurry. Oh, I also got a blueberry muffin that was delicious. All together with the “grande” drink and the muffin it was like $11 and some change. Scooters has way better sizing options and their prices are better, AND the coffee tastes better. I just wanted to see what the hype was about..still not sure if I know.”

“What to do on a cold Iowa February day? Smokey Row Hopping it is...☕ We set out to visit all 14 Smokey Rows. We found Pella Smokey Row top of our list. The cozy atmosphere, top notch coffee, extensive menu with breakfast all day was everything we could imagine. What made this particular Smokey Row, above the rest, was the fun loving, friendly, energetic and knowledgable staff. My only regret is I forgot their names. Thank You for a fabulous Smokey Row experience.”
