The food was good. The service was crap. I wish the woman at the register would have smacked her gum a little louder up front so I could really feel right at home. The food was good, but the online menu was not transparent at all and not easy to understand. So when I relayed it over the phone, my price of $28 and some change bounced up to $42 and some change. I put $43 on the counter and left. I've never been so unimpressed with a clerk in my life. Ever. Even the more mature women around me were gawking and apologizing to me. One even offered to pay for my meal. Says a lot about the community. I do appreciate you, Pellacans. My boyfriend said the soup was good. I think the dessert bar was good, but not worth the price. I know some can justify this spending, but we will make food at home next time. Thanks for the meal.
Parking: Good luck finding a decent spot in the hours they have the store open.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not great.

The bread pudding here is divine!!! I wish I could come every day for each day’s new special flavor. Plus, their sourdough loaves and chicken salad are super tasty and well crafted.

I stopped there yesterday on my way back to Minneapolis. The croissant sandwich was great and the loaf of Oregano-garlic (?) bread to take home was delicious!

I am in Pella for my mother's cancer surgery and snuck away for an hour to grab some non-hospital food (and to gather my thoughts). I found myself at the Bread Board... I didn't realize they served not only food, but LOVE. This food tastes like my long gone grandmother's "love"- fresh ingredients, made with care. My tummy AND my heart were filled over the past two days with some of the most amazing soups and breads I've ever had in my life and I've traveled the world. THANK YOU for this refuge. This will be a regular stop for me every time I go through town- you can even get frozen quarts of soup TO GO! The chicken and wild rice is the best I've ever had. RUN, don't walk and buy all the things.

Two friends and myself had lunch at your place yesterday. Your chicken salad on a croissant was delicious, had by all 3 of us. I also purchased 3 cranberry scones and they melt in my mouth. Do you mail? We will be back. Thank you for an enjoyable time.

Super busy in Tulip Time but it was very good. I’d eat here again. That cheeseburger chowder soup was amazing. Lots of items on menu I wanted to try. Bread Pudding is a must.

Absolutely the best sourdough bread I’ve ever had! We tried the Asiago loaf.

My friend and I got raging food poisoning from their soup. I was also given a cold undercooked Asiago bagel.

I haven't eaten their bread yet. I saw it. I smelled it. I had to buy a couple loaves for my wife, the real bread lover between us. The setting was superb. Beautiful surroundings. Very welcoming. Loved the music! Service was helpful, speedy and pleasant. Based on the above and the apple Carmel scone I ate in no time, I predict the bread will be fantastic. If I lived in the region, I'd make a new habit here.
