Love this shop! I enjoy going to different small town coffee shops when I travel. This one does not disappoint!

Great coffee and friendly service. The Dizzy Dutchman brew was delicious.

Super cute hybrid of a coffee shop, bookstore, gift shop items and home decor store. They do have bathrooms that paying customers are permitted to use that were clean as well!
Tasty honey latte!

Quaint coffee and gift shop! This is an excellent one stop shop for a coffee, tea, or smoothie.

While you are there, you could grab a few knick knacks for yourself or stock up on gifts for someone else. The shop consists of home goods like tasteful kitchen accessories, home decor, baby items, Christian books jewelry, etc. The range of goods is wide—you never know what you might find.

I ordered a cold brew which was delicious (although I'd prefer it to be stronger for my personal taste) and a mango smoothie (my kids favorite! We had to go back for a second one).

The store is located in the downtown area and is surrounded by other small businesses so you could certainly make a morning of your visit.

Yes, there are strong Christian vibes in the coffee shop, but it reflects the culture of the town. (I've seen a few comments about this, and it is very much to be expected when you are in Pella. I would think of it as cultural representation rather than trying to exclude others or be offensive.)

Great shop for coffee and gift giving! Very inviting, full of love and friendly staff. Coffee comes out fresh, some of the best coffee I’ve had while I was visiting. If you’re looking for a one of a kind experience, The Sanctuary is the place to be!

Very nice gift store with a wonderful coffee bar, right on the town square. We ate our treats from the nearby Dutch bakery.

The Sanctuary is truly a sanctuary for all. Men, women, young, and old will all enjoy what The Sanctuary has to offer. From drinks and pastries at the small café to books, devotionals, Bibles, home décor, lotions, jewelry, cards for all occasions, mugs, and much more! The staff is always very friendly and welcoming! I highly recommend all of the drinks! Be sure to ask for their drink menu to see all of the options not written on the chalkboard!

Parking: Parking is hit and miss depending on the day and time you go. Obviously coming during the weekday during lunch hours or after school (3:30-). Saturdays are generally hard to find parking with multiple businesses on the square.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome here! There are drinks at the café portion kids would enjoy but there is so much more! From children's Bibles, devotionals, home décor , and more!

Wheelchair accessibility: There is an automatic door at the entry with no stairs. The store is all on level making it accessible to all.
