The food has been very good every time we have eaten here & tonight was too. We went for my birthday dinner & I was given a little Crystal Keychain as a gift. Very surprising & thoughtful! After eating a great meal I was too full for dessert anyways.
Yamato's is top of our list of favorite restaurants!

For the middle of Iowa, this is a wonderful sushi, hibachi and Japanese steakhouse. Great tasting food and friendly, quick service. It's always packed, so finding a table can be your only issue. But it is worth waiting for. We go frequently.

Yamato's Japanese Steakhouse in Pella is my go-to spot for fresh, flavorful sushi. While it’s not a hibachi-style restaurant with chefs cooking in front of you, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Their sushi rolls are top-tier — beautifully rolled, generously portioned, and always made with fresh ingredients.

The menu has a great variety, whether you're in the mood for something classic like a spicy tuna roll or something more unique. The staff is friendly, quick, and always make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and clean, perfect for both casual lunches and cozy dinners.

If you’re in the Pella area and craving great sushi, Yamato’s is a hidden gem worth checking out!!!

Loved everything about the place! The staff, the food, they even had silverware chopsticks instead of wooden or plastic! Having Japanese music in the background would've it at max tier for me, but not everyone needs it to be there. Will recommend to everyone for Japanese food.

This restaurant is the best. The food hits every craving I have ever had. I recommend this place to everyone. The price for the food is perfect. It never disappoints. I'm disappointed in myself for living 3 hours away.
I would spend my whole paycheck here it's that good. BET.

Ok let me start This long story, I never had sushi until this place come along, u tried it with my family about 3 times before I went here for my birthday, I loved it so much the soda, sushi, salad, egg roll, soup, and more!
