Disappointed by the service and attitude
I took my daughters out for lunch and ordered a BLT without tomatoes, as they make me sick. Unfortunately, the sandwich came with tomatoes anyway. I understand mistakes happen, so I politely sent it back. However, when it came back again, it was clear they had just picked the tomatoes off rather than making a new one — which isn’t acceptable given my sensitivity.
When I asked for a refund just for the sandwich I couldn’t eat, I was met with technical issues and a noticeably bad attitude from both women working there. They acted like I was in the wrong for saying anything. It wasn’t just unprofessional — it was downright rude, and really disappointing for what was supposed to be a nice lunch with my kids.

Food was great, service was great and the folks that work there treated us like family. Absolutely the nicest people we met while in Iowa. I think they went out of their way to be so kind and welcoming to us. Outstanding experience. We were in Iowa for 2 days and ate there twice.
I am a hard critic of BBQ, let me tell you, but this place was amazing. Our server was unbelievably kind and helpful, the brisket sandwich was perfect and the BBQ was to die for. Honestly this place is a total gem!!

Lady who runs the place has been rude all three times my coworker and I have came in. Food is subpar, she tried to hawk some nasty green looking roast beef to me as prime rib and didn’t try to make it right until I was walking out the door. Won’t be going back.

the lady running the place seemed to be very distracted by a male worker who seemed to be completely distracted by the young female and child sitting at the booth closest to the door. This is the reason for the 3 in service. The food was really good. Best French Dip Ive ever had.

Great restaurant with incredible food and service! I had the Boom Boom Chicken sandwich with tots. I'm picky about my chicken and this sandwich was amazing! The service was stellar as well! If you find yourself in Red Oak, I highly recommend checking them out!
