On a roadtrip passing through Red Oak, we came in and placed a to go order to take back to our cabin. The girl at the front must be new because she didn’t seem to be very familiar with the menu and didn’t even know what soft drinks they had. We left without drinks because she said she didn’t think they had Sprite but only had Coca Cola. I ordered the chicken strips with tater tots and my husband ordered a double burger with mustard and ketchup only, along with waffle fries....
Food was great, service was great and the folks that work there treated us like family. Absolutely the nicest people we met while in Iowa. I think they went out of their way to be so kind and welcoming to us. Outstanding experience. We were in Iowa for 2 days and ate there twice.
I am a hard critic of BBQ, let me tell you, but this place was amazing. Our server was unbelievably kind and helpful, the brisket sandwich was perfect and the BBQ was to die for. Honestly this place is a total gem!!
