A husband and wife ran and owned Chinese place. They are there everyday. With this it's like there home. He cooks she hosts so sometimes you get to see a bad day like everyone has as human beings. But they are almost always very friendly and the food is very good. If there is something on the buffet that you would like fresh they will most certainly will. I would say if I went 30 times 29 of them experiences would have been Superb.

The lady seemed upset that we didn’t want buffet. She came gave us dirty paper menus. She brought husbands dinner out put it on table hard. Phone rang she sat down took order the sat there. Finely the gentleman that made our dinner brought mine. And I haven’t been to a Chinese restaurant where for your meal you don’t get soup and have to ask for rice to go with sweet/sour chicken. The food was great. Customer service really bad. So if we want Chinese Food from there it will be take out.

Visited here for dinner on day one of Ragbrai 2024. They got slammed and only offered the buffet, but when I asked about vegetarian options, they offered to make me a tofu stir fry.
Excellent customer service given the huge event and demands on the restaurant.
Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian section that has decent options. Would definitely visit.

One of the best kept secrets in Red Oak IA. Large open dining area, absolutely wonderful buffet and dine in options. To go orders are hot and fresh. The crab Rangoon are the best in the city.

I'm from out of town, just passing through, and stopped here to get out of the rain. This place is a hidden gem. Hands-down best pork lo mein I've eaten in my entire life. Their crab rangoon was sheer perfection as well. Prices totally reasonable. I don't know anything about the buffet, but their menu items are bomb so I'm sure that's good too. Whoever their chef is knows what's up.
